Amazing tutorial! Thank you! You mentioned you would only do this design on a few lighter colors. Do you tend to offer less colors that only make the design look good with each listing? Also, is there an easy way to duplicate the whole thing so your have two pages in a project like Canva? For example, I want a black design for light shirts and white design for dark shirts. They're very valuable for Etsy beginners like me :) I have a question about specific holiday designs. preparing for them months before makes total sense but how many designs would you say make sense for one holiday? I'm preparing for St Patricks day and am wondering if the amount of designs should be somewhere between 20 and 50 or more between 50 to 200? It's hard to find the balance between doing enough to get sales and doing way too much and it's a time waste.. Thank you so much! greetings form germany

I saw a video of a 6 figure POD seller wherein she said her Etsy ship was suspended so curious which other channels you recommend diversifying apart from Shopify, thanks..

Hi Lisa! Kittl is extremely user-friendly, which I love! Their editable templates make it so easy to create a really nice professional design. Hello, can you advise me please with 1 thing? I started my etsy page posting only t shirts on one niche. Then i tried to upload the same niche but on mugs, and now out of first 10 places on my most searched items, there are only mugs, should i go with mugs only for now or post shirt products also along them?

Hi Brenon, thanks for the video! On an unrelated note I’ve almost hit 100 and listings 20 sales after about 6 weeks and I’ve realized a lot of what I have has a lot of IP/copyright issues. I thought it was ok because I see a lot of other sellers putting out similar content (think Star Wars). I need to take a lot of my listings down and I’m feeling really disappointed and feel like quitting. Any advice/motivation would be greatly appreciated. I see the potential in POD and I’ve learned a lot but I feel like I have to do a major pivot.

Hi Brenon, I was wondering if you know, are we allowed to use initialed words or anything trademarked (i.e. OMG or TGIF) in the Title of our listings? (even if we’re not using them in our designs).

If it’s trademarked, I would not use it in your title or tags. Your listing can get flagged for this. It’s always better to play it safe! Thanks for watching!

@@brenondopp One follow up, what if I named my shop with a trademark. For example, if I called my shop “Madeup” but that was a trademark being used as 2 separate words “Made Up”. And those words were registered for the name of a publication or newsletter. And the newsletter was obscure and used within a larger company like Kellogg’s. And they used it to represent food data or something unrelated to selling shirts or clothing. Would that be an infringement?

@@brenondopp I forgot that I have a lawyer friend in my tennis group. He said that since the trademark I’m looking to use as my brand name is in a completely unrelated registered class that I could use it. He recommended that whenever I use materials to communicate with customers that I would need to use a unique font represent my brand using the trademark as it would also differentiate from the current owner of the trademark.

You can export it as an SVG if you prefer! It’s up to you! I just do PNG because Printful doesn't support SVG's so I then have the option to use the files for both Printful and Printify if needed.

@@medic458 the mock-ups mess me up every time! They add up quickly when you buy mock-ups off Etsy. =_= I’ll have to give Kittl a try though I cringe on pouring more money into something that has no organic sales yet. I know it’ll take time and I’m not good at designs still. But hopefully 🤞

You are only able to export your designs at low-res on Kittl’s free plan so I’m afraid that won’t work. I’m sorry! I completely understand your concern though. I wish you the best!

Yes! That’s a great price point to sell shirts at. I also recommend using Everbee’s profit calculator so you can see your total Etsy fees/costs so that you know the exact profit that you are making. You would be surprised how many sellers lose money when starting out because they are pricing their products wrong and not accounting for all fees/costs! I wish you the best! Thanks for watching!

Hey Brenon - Slightly off top but I was doing so basic trademark research the other day around the phrase "Peter Rabbit". As expected it was heavily trademarked so a No No for me. But ETSY is flooded with product using "Peter Rabbit" as a keyword phrase and also his creator Beatrix Potter. Not a single attribution with any of these product and I'm willing be bet the ETSY shops don't have any agreement to use. Which begs the question how do they get away with it; why has the trademark owner allowed this. Look at how Disney police there ownership. Understand the only definitive answer can come from a Trademark lawyer and the copyright owner Frederick Warne & Co but interested on your thoughts on this topic. May be a video in the not to distance future. So this turned out as a long comment

Hi Geoff! Just because sellers are using designs/keywords that are trademarked doesn’t mean it is allowed in any way. It’s not a matter of if they get caught but when they get caught! I totally understand the confusion and frustration, but I wouldn't worry about it. There are so many other designs you can create that are 100% safe and legal. You forgot to mention that KITTLE is not free and it cost atleast 15$ a month to use all the features you used in the video. Like custom resolution who is a big deal.😐
