As much as I like Cakra, I think you should have watched the original first. James Blunt's father was diagnosed with stage four chronic kidney disease. James wrote this song to express his feelings about his father and expected him to die soon. Fortunately his father found a kidney donor after the song was released (I think it was a distant cousin who was a match). James didn't want the producer to correct some notes he has missed etc. He wanted to keep the song as raw and authentic as it was recorded. That's why I think the orignal by James hits different. His dad is part of the video too.

Hadn't heard this cover. James Blunt's original is SO heartbreaking, I wasn't sure anyone could do a cover of it justice. The bar Blunt sets is so high - his tone actually SOUNDS like "singing the crying," it's almost unfair to judge anyone else against it. But I gotta say, Khan's version is REALLY good. I even enjoy the pitch changes at the end of the chorus. And he's so at the edge of his range that the voice breaks actually accentuate the tone of the song. Very nice.
