The evil key level was one of my earlier levels. Not as refined or neat as some of my later levels, but glad you enjoyed nonetheless. Level secrets and other interesting facts! 0:00 This Level is now down to Normal with the clear by Panga. (Only two clears) Who still hold the world record! As Panga found the door to the end! (Interesting note on this when I did look up the level in the program. It shows Panga as having the WR. But shows the old WR time of 1 min 22 sec) 4:31 It was indeed a progressive Fire Flower at 4:58. Another progressive Fire Flower at 6:33 7:42 At 8:02 theres a hidden one up block to the left 11:11 Level is also in Normal difficulty now. Panga no longer holds the WR. It was about 12 seconds. 12:33 Panga still hold the WR for this level. Theres a hidden P-Switch to the left where Panga is at 14:56. Then a vine block down below. Fire Flower up top where Panga did hit the Vine block. 16:39 Theres a fire flower in the water at the start. The program also shows the mushroom that is dropped at the start as a Link Suit. 17:37 This level is listed in the program as Normal difficulty. But has 5.77%. So probably an error? Lots of other levels this episode also were downgraded to Normal difficulty as well. But have higher completion percentages. 18:05 This level doesn't exist in the level viewer anymore. I checked a few times to make sure that I was typing the code correctly. XNY-K8K-N0G I have been looking at the various levels for a while now and this was a first not being able to find one.

1st lvl title is a typo. Pretty sure it meant "Schnell durchquetschen" which means quickly squeeze through. I think you could say the dev route is a reward for being fast. But then it's really easy to do from cp, so that's dumb.

You don't even need to be fast to make it. It's also in the perfect place to be done after the checkpoint. If you know where it is doesn't take much skill to get it.

The straw that broke the camel's back for me was one time a chatter asked if he was gay and he got visibly upset and said something like "I'm not gay, I'm NORMAL." It's possible he didn't mean it in a deliberately offensive way, but after seeing several similar instances, it developed a really bad taste in my mouth for the guy. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if he was a MAGA/Trump dude.

@@alpacaAnarch It depends why the content is being skipped. The Warp Zone in SMB allows players to skip levels. Dev exits in SMM2 allow both players and the level's designer to skip the level which allows you to circumvent the requirement of clearing your levels before you upload them. That's why this exit was early in the level with no hints. It wasn't to create a secret for players. For what it's worth, I just looked at the creator's other levels in the level viewer and while some of them were legit levels, many of them have inarguable dev exits, pick-a-path, and lots of little Timmy trolls. The frequency of those sorts of levels strengthens my belief that dev exit here is actually meant to be a dev exit and not a secret exit.

Tbh that’s not really a “gotcha” moment, the first level doesn’t really have any cheese that he could think of. No powerups, no nothing. The other ones though require him to send it or other means

The irony is that he is always looking for ways to cheese levels and complete them as fast as possible, but gets mad at anything that slightly resembles a dev route. I hate dev routes too, but that first level didn’t seem like one, it definitely seemed like a secret exit rather than a dev route
