I like your design better than mine , so simple! If the tape can be inserted the other side, then the pilot lamp will be visible through the load port and the BlueTooth antenna out of the shielded depths. sheet metal enclosure which presents as Faraday Cage.

Looks like a fun project. I would use a 2xCR2032 battery holder instead of welding the strips of metal for easier battery changes. Maybe go crazy and use a Lithium battery gel pack with a TP4096 charger. I guess it depends on how much money you got or how much spare parts you have laying around.

Here's a cool idea, the cassette player rotates the motors which are supposed to rotate the tape in the cassette, so now we're wasting electricity and potential on that as there's nothing to rotate, so what if we made a little generator inside the tape case to power the bluetooth module, so we don't need to use batteries? or we can have it used as battery charger.

К тому же, если уж использовать кассету, то хочется, чтобы устройство было портативным, ведь его, скорее всего, захочется брать с собой в другие машины или к друзьям. Да и про плееры Walkman и домашние магнитофоны не забываем. А что если встроить в корпус кассеты небольшой генератор для питания Bluetooth-модуля? Тогда не нужны будут батарейки. Можно даже сделать его зарядным устройством для телефона. Он мог бы работать по тому же принципу, что и динамо-машина на велосипеде.

I had a manufactured tape adapter that had a 3mm aux jack lead that ran out of the side of the cassette case so you could just plug in whatever you wanted. It was made for cars so it also had the power lead coming out of the same side and plugged into the old cigarette lighter adapter.

I had thought about how to make something much like this, but for 8-Track players. Then if you have a vintage 70's car with the appropriate period-correct 8-Track deck, you can still play modern music through it. You could also include an SD-card reader in it too.

if cassette player has auto-stop feature, it will auto-stop after a few seconds. To prevent this, must keep the spools of the cassette, and connect them together with a short loop so that the second spool rotates when first spool is driven by motor. Auto-stop will engage when second spool is still/stuck

Auto stop will only function when the tape becomes tight as when the tape ends and the spools have stopped , If there are no spools or tape it will work continuously until you switch it off !

А проще и вообще не заморачиваться сделать тоже самое только в кассету где головку магнитную он поставил, воткнуть туда динамик от наушников, а провод как раз подключить к телефону, и не надо будет батарейки менять плату покупать поять ее и тд.

You're better off that way, unless you have a very good car stereo that plays tapes and doesn't have an Aux port. There were some very nice Sony and Pioneer cassette car stereos, but the nicest ones had full auto-stop, which means this wouldn't work because the deck would "think" the tape is stuck and it would turn off the play operation.

Tape was pretty brain dead. This device emulates a series of like-minded devices companies manufactured to allow newer features to be used in tape systems for years, even before tape faded away. I never encountered anything that wouldn't accept them. I can't think of any reason someone would have engineered a tape system that wouldn't accept this. My guess is, if there is a tape drive system out there that couldn't work with this it would be so rare and expensive as to be negligible. This idea goes all the way back to adapters for early wire recording systems and pre-cassette tape devices. It's nothing extraordinary. The fact you can repurpose a cassette case yourself (for cheap) kind of is.

What you could do is remove all the magnetic tape from the two reels and re-insert them inside the cassette shell with a small flat elastic band connecting them together so that the take up reel turns the supply wheel. I think that would satisfy any tape rotation detection system.

Typically it's the auto-reverse type decks that would have a problem with not detecting enough tension on the capstans. I had a deck like that in a car once owned. The factory auto-reverse would keep trying to "flip" the tape. RadioShack came out with a modified cassette adapter to ⅛" plug that would fool the auto-reverse mechanism so it would keep playing.

Я уже очень давно припаял шнур с 3,5 мм штекером к материнской плате обычного кассетника на левый и правый канал соотвественно. Включаю музло на телефоне, штеккер в разъем для наушников и вуаля, вся музыка в кассетнике играет как усилитель и воспроизводитель. Надо просто найти правильное место на плате куда впаять шнур. Вот и все.

are you relying on CR2032 internal resistance to drop the 6 to 7volts a pair in series produces to drop the voltage to the Bluetooth receiver 5V requirement and not fry it?

You need a BIC to rotate tape.

This is great if you have a car stereo that plays tapes and doesn't have an Aux port. There were some very nice Sony and Pioneer cassette car stereos, but the nicest ones had full auto-stop, which means this wouldn't work because the deck would "think" the tape is stuck and it would turn off the play operation.
