This DIAMOND Lucio couldn't wall climb? | Overwatch 2 Spectating

This Lucio has been stuck in Diamond for many seasons and they say this game felt especially impossible at some points. They wanted to know if they were playing well, or if they were just getting carried by their team.

Masters Lucio main here. I’d say this lucio has too many times where he just kinda stands around instead of actively trying to get poke damage, or really diving in with his tank. The latter being a big way to turn the tables as lucio. Wall riding is also big, this map can be difficult with all its random ledges, balconies, and just bricks that fuck up your wall riding, but what he should focus on is just barely touching the walls and jumping to another wall to get that speed boost and height by looking up as you jump off a wall. Looking up while wall riding makes you go higher, looking to the ground makes you go lower.

As a kiri main a good Lucio is one of my fav supports to play with. So I feel awful for this player and the way chat talked about them. They did so good and Emongg had so much good feedback.

This guy did fine, but one his lucio aim is truely gold level, lol. Playing lucio doesn't mean you can give up aiming at the enemy.

Yeah watching him struggle climbing walls was pretty embarrassing but the people in the comment section saying they aren’t diamond solely because of that really need to keep their mouths closed because this Lucio was a pretty good support

Chat is so awful in these videos, lol. Unless it's a master or grandmaster, the comments are just a constant flood of "Wow, this is [rank name]? Looks like the same as bronze!". Like, okay? The person playing is watching the video too. Emongg is already providing constructive feedback for them and joking where appropriate; the commenter is simply being mean for no reason, especially considering they're not the ones in the spotlight.

He was trying to wall ride up the wall the whole way so I think that was the issue. If he jumped a bit he probably would have been more successful. It helps me at least

That’s real. I hate how much random stuff is on every map. I play lucio, but I also play winston. With winston, it’s extremely common to have my whole leap get blocked or redirected by a random pole. Especially considering how big winston is, it’s easy to get obstructed.

as a (fellow) diamond, seeing people in chat constantly saying things like "how is this diamond" and claiming the lucio lied about his rank was really funny to me. sorry, gold players, us diamonds are considered in the metal ranks for a reason :). i would not be surprised to be in this match (sadly i am not though). i would've been that kiri that held onto ult from the end of first point until third in the first round hahaha. anyway, they should work on their movement, but apart from that they did fine. the beats were beats i would do and overall i would make similar mistakes too. and it's not like they were gonna be speed boosting a sombra or sojourn anyway so

The direction you look has a huge influence on where you go with wall jumps, same with mercy dash. (You can get a lot of height using jump and looking straight up)

i like thes series but i wish it was more identifiable by thumbnail or title they look too similar to other videos and on top of that im going back and forth betweeen channels and i really love learning through these videos

@@awcrap i think maybe since this is a series and i assume its in his interests to have exclusive content accross channels. so i dont mind that if his team cant have his spectate videos one channel or one playlist. i think my main point is maybe in his titles he could add “i-Spectate” or “vod-review”. and maybe in the thumbnail at the top left of it could be a rectangle symbol indicating this is a vod review.

It's kinda strange seeing a diamond player with that low of mechanical skill on Lucio. It could just be my untrained silver Lucio eyes. But I usually get more kills and hit more shots, yet I'm stuck and they are in diamond. Idk. Maybe I should submit a game and see what horrible errors I am making that this Lucio is not

I’m a diamond Lucio player on Xbox. The getting stuck on things during wall ride is rough. Learning the easiest spots to get to high ground is 100% something worth investing time in. Also, assigning jump to a bumper is the way to go. I jump with left bumper so wall riding while aiming is way easier than using the A button. Idk if this guy is console I just think I heard that at some point

Because dive. Most supports with long-range heals are susceptible to dive. I only play range if I feel my team help me when I get dive on.

also you guys in lower ranks overestimate how good the ranks up to masters are, there is still an absolute ton to work on in many ranks above your own, which should tell you exactly how imperfectly you're playing if you're stuck in gold

I got trapped on like a pallet jack in route 66 yesterday. The maps are full of stupid new clutter and depending on how you work your movement, you can stick to a wall backing up in OW2 when you would slide against it in ow1. What really gets me is some of thedecorative clutter shit on oasis doesn't have collision... Like they know how to do it right.
