Sorry Dave, I think this one is on you. I would have expected you to hug the rumbles tighter since you werent leading on entry. He can't see what angle you're taking, so you have to keep it tighter - ofcourse, just my own opinion. Love your content, mate!

Yeah 'fraid so. There was more space on the right to the apex than there was between the two cars on the previous left handler Dave demonstrated. Christian would have expected more room on his right there dave. One of those sim racing racing incidents that wouldn't have been an incident in real life.

Racing incident, but you drifted a little into him on entry and missed the apex a little, so I think you could have kept it tighter midcorner and avoided the situation. Being on the outside on that exit is pretty hairy, so I don't blame him for trying to be as tight as possible.

The driver of the car on the outside knows there's more chance of being squeezed and being drifted into by the inside car. Therefore, caution is needed by the outside car. He drove correctly around the outside but the percentage is more in favour of the inside car. That's the nature of the beast !! The car looks like fun Dave. Keep up the good driving mate !!

Racing incident but yeah I think you understeered up into him. You pulled the full Hamilton! At the chute he was all over the inside curb and you were mid track. So that's what created the space. At the toe where the contact happened you were far off the inside curb and he was mid track so there was no space.

I watched this race on Dan's YT channel yesterday. One of his chat guys coined a new name for you. Dave Cameroff. Of course, they all thought you were dead and gone. Good to see that you finished. As for you and Christian, I have to agree with others. While it was a hard race for position, you did seem to slip off the apex, eliminating that 2 foot gap that should have been there. You could have kept it tighter right. But also yes, he was squeezing a bit much. In the end, a racing incident by two drivers who wanted the same thing.

Remember watching this race on Dan’s stream, sure was quite an eventful one. Glad to see it from your perspective. As for the incident with the #19 car at the end, he was slowing down along the back straight towards the hairpin so he could take out the car he did. Unfortunate to see it in top split racing but otherwise a great race!

It’s a tough one. I would definitely open the steering in the same way. He has space to the outside and actually I would expect him to use it (it is preferential to his exit speed) .. when you’re the one crashed out it’s always sad. Hanging on the outside there (back and to the left) is usually a losing hand. Racing incident. (I’d have pinched him more in the previous corner too😆)
@davecamyt2 жыл бұрын
Yes you can get a real good exit on that turn by going wider which puts you in a great position for getting it done into the next tight left if you don't clear before the right

@davidius742 жыл бұрын
That was just a racing incident and the stewards would put both of you at fault. Was a real 50/50. Maybe they might say you were should of backed off as you weren't far enough forward when he started to turn in, but you had the speed and made the turn. Was only as you were exiting. Reality is it was your corner to begin with its always a risk to be on the outside of a corner but you picked your line and its hard to move anywhere on the inside with your car loaded up mid corner unless you back off. Your line may have been slightly wide but he still had more room on the outside, he knew you were there and if he had triple monitors would have known exactly how close you were and didn’t attempt to avoid a collision. He seemed to be a bit erratic before the hit and he featured a few times on the highlights reel id say he had a bit of a shocker.
@craigyates44512 жыл бұрын

Dave, from what I saw, I’ll adjudicate a racing incident with 90% Christian’s fault (he could’ve backed out) and 10% yours for squeezing him a bit on the exit as you did have wheels on the grass drivers left, but the racing line and corner was 100% yours.
@craigf1tz2 жыл бұрын
Racing incident I reckon. Maybe it's just my mentality that's wrong but I'd never trust someone on the inside not to understeer out when going around the outside, I think you should always give a little more room than you would in real life. Once your cars were hooked that weird crash was inevitable.
