he calls dirt the most useless block. its used for growing many things, tilling, paths, vegetation, decoration, a quick building block, and turns to grass when near other grass. the most useless block is actually the poisonous potato.

That's not a block, it can't even be placed. The most useless block is the dragon egg. It can't be used in a crafting recipe and all it does is teleport when you try to mine it and it's really hard to get.
