My favourite D1 build was a 6 piece Firecrest. It just spoke to me. I probably won't even try this build until I get that holster, but when I do, I am definitely doing it. My existing CC build is really 80% of the way there.

I have this but I run Tag Team on my chest piece. It has been reworked to reduce the cooldown of your skills by 6s with a 4s proc CD. Use that with a combination of cluster mines (I would not use sticky bomb as it is very bugged atm) and you will have mines ready in 8 seconds if timed properly.

Also when using the sticky bomb, aim your weapon crosshair at targets then double tap whatever skill button the sticky is mapped too. It will fire and detonate the sticky upon impact with the target. I hated the sticky bomb because of the awkward reticle and aiming/detonating sequence. If you do it this way you can completely bypass that.

Been running a similar build for a while, and it does sick damage! Build is 3 Wyvern, 2 HanaU, 1 Golan with the Technician Specialization to cover the Golan gear Blue Armor and the 10% Skill Damage. Glass Cannon and Creeping Death for chest and backpack, along with Everlasting Gaze and Pyromaniac M4. I have the main stats specced into Status Effect and Damage, with Haste Mods which give me 17s cool down, 11s burn duration, 7 chem launcher ammo. Triggering a chem launcher with Everlasting Gaze hits for 1 million on initial explosion, and 500K for each tick of damage for 11s of burn.

skill damge +status effect is a good combo. the fire explosion deals skill damage first skilled on the chestpiece is great for getting charges back so no skill haste needed

Wish the Firestarter Chem Launcher wasn’t a choir to use, most of the time on alerted enemies they just roll away right before you ignite the cloud. Then when you somehow catches them on fire, it usually doesn’t deal that much damage and doesn’t last long than the other cc skills. In my opinion, Riot Foam Chem Launcher, Banshee, and Blind Firefly is best for crowd control. But I’ll try this build as I have most of the required items you suggested, pretty much the same as my dedicated cc build.

i play this build with overcharge from acostas backpack. makes the area of chemlauncher soo much bigger. burn down the whole room in 1 blow, and that with a saved perpetuation buff from the last room, the first wave in a room is dead before the fight really starts

Hello LT. Appreciate the build video. I just wish the developers would return the fire turret back to it's original state when it was released in the game in the beginning. That is one of the reason I am not running a fire build at this time. The fire turret was reduced in a patch toward the end of last year. They put a fire drain on the turret which times the fire turret out quickly, no matter how much time duration you put into your build. Also, the NPC's are able to walk straight through the fire like they are in the movie "Carrie". It's just ridiculous how they have made it so weak and people have resorted to not running it at all. It falls in the dumpster with the Airburst seekers that nobody really has touched since the launch of the game. For that fire sticky bomb, it needs more rounds then just being one shot before it goes into a time out. That is why I have not even bothered with the fire sticky bombs.

What about using the seeker airburst mind, burn time is around 25 seconds (mine burns for 266k) and does about a mill in damage. Takes some skill to get use to it you’re probably going to miss more when enemies run away from it.

So... I've been running this for about a week now, and have to say that I am having a BLAST. I had one of the smoothest heroic run ever with a PUG with it. I didn't top the dmg charts, but I burned something like 235 enemies. Everything was constantly on fire. Easily the most fun I've had in a while. Once I got things min/maxed and firewall leveled up, things just got stupid 😅

I'm running something similar but instead of relaying on skills only (because I already have 2 other skill based builds) I'm running it with anarchist book (testing a variant with creeping death) and 4 pieces of ToS with chest included. Everything but the backpack rolling weapon damage and status effect. Boy... It may not be the most powerful build out there, but it's fun as hell to always be able to use the flamethrower and have a balance between cc, damage and survivability.

I feel like creeping death doesn't always work. Is there a cool down for it? Sometimes I'll light 4 enemies on fire with my holster just running by them in the dz. I personally would have gone with at least 4 piece tip of spear so I can utilize the flamethrower to the maximum and that all my weapons and the flamethrower do more damage and regen it. I'd def make sure to get pieces that had the status and skill haste variations with skill tier cores. Due to me being mainly a solo player, that's my version of this with a pistol that has fire damage on it. If I had a teammate running gunner, then I'd run other weapons too.

Shock & Awe grants TOTAL skill damage, he invested most of his attributes into Status Effect which doesn't scale with this talent, so the damage difference won't be a big deal.

Frédéric Brasseur think of creeping death like shadow clones from naruto. I spreads the status effect yes but not at the same level of damage as the original target that’s hit. Creeping deaths job is to spread the status that it you don’t get any other benefit from it

I recommend leaving the armor on the golan, and running technician. The burn is like a second shorter but stronger. My build has 600k initial burn and 300k ticks, that’s without the sidearm or the hive exclusive to technician. Play with it. See if it’s better. I found the EMP grenade to help with Blacktusk.

@@LtBuzzLitebeer Yeah, techician is also a nice specialisation to run on a pyro build, with the extra skill tier you get the option to get a bit more surviability and when you equip the Firestarter you get a bonus 15% armour for free. Also, your EMP grenades scale with status effect, which is quite usefull.

I'd go with perfect shock and awe rather than creeping death since the skills used are AOE so kinda wasted a backpack talent there imo

@@LtBuzzLitebeer or the force multiplier backpack with perfect combined arms for that juicy 30% skill damage since you're constantly shooting for perpetuation proc then you'll be procing the backpack talent as well. I had this kind of build before and it was fun to use

The buffed version of creeping death can catch quite a large amount of enemies with status effects. 20% damage is cool, but is it really going to make a huge difference? Probably not. With high damage mortar builds it means the difference between one shotting reds and two shotting purples as well as 3-4 shotting elites. But on this build it's really not a big enough difference to be noticeable.
