This DIY Bike Trailer Was My Only Hope...

In this video, I decide to build a no weld bike trailer in order to make it to a lake that I've wanted to kayak for a while. Literally made the same build but I was able to add shocks to my trailer. I also added the coupler in the middle with bike seat quick clamps so it can be disassembled and put in my car. Awesome build overall.

Couple of things ! The build is "pending" on Instructables, so can't access at the moment. Also, the EBook - HOW do you download it ? Not seeing any obvious "buttons" to start the download?! Or do you send an email to request ?!

Great tips - but Schedule 30 tubing is superior and is only 50% premium over EMT. My Lowes has it in various sizes and lengths. Check a metals supplier.

@@MakerPipe My local Lowes stocks some fittings right next to the tubing, but right now I don't need any - I figured out how to break out of my small work space to weld outdoors. Sch 30 is ideal for bending and welding - using a $100 bender and decent flux core. ALSO: All Tubing is measured OD and wall thickness and then by quality -- EMT is the same OD as Sch. 30 except the Sch. 30 is finished powder coat or Heat black and not Galvanized. Galvanized has to ground off before welding making EMT very bad choice - necessitating the fixtures that cost 2X the tubing for complext projects.

Nice build. For these types of applications I'd to take an inflatable or folding kayak instead of making a custom trailer. But to each their own...
