She is so beautiful! Thank you for this video. It is really helpful watching step by step grooming for a collie. I have a collie now and took him to a groomer for his first appointment. She did a great job, but it is very $$$$, so I need to learn to do some of this at home in between professional groomings.

Yes, its really important to do a deshading / brush thing every 1-2 weeks, so your dog will be in much, much better condiotion when comes to groomer and it can be cheaper because of that. Good luck!

I have female tri-color rough collie just like this one! They are such an amazing breed, and definitely the best companion to have. But I can attest to the fact their their grooming is a lot of work. Thankfully, collies only really need to be groomed when they blow out their winter and summers coats, which is twice a year. If you comb them frequently at home, they'll be fine!

Well, yes you can do that twice a year, but then whole process last for a 5 hours and its not comfortable for dog neither for groomer. Insted of this, we groom our dog every 6-8 weeks, it last for a 2-3 hours and she looks beautiful all the time, not only twice a year. :)

No it’s a rough collie. Shelties are a little smaller and don’t have a pointy nose like the collies. :)
