We use to live high up in sierra mtns . Our Dog Was a Norwegian elkhound, ehe loved hunting. He brought us skunks (dead) mostly but once he brought us a mtn lion cub. We never found Mom but we called wildlife people they came a few days later picked up cub. We only consider ourselves superior to animals because we believe they dont have emotional intelligence, that their lack of verbal communication is a sign of no intelligence. You are absolutely dead wrong. That dog either decided that it is now his new baby/pet, or his new best friend. In either sense, the dog has the emotional and general intelligence to understand this.

@@ezrahambiliki4962 Malinois are very close to working GS, but still, and it's always a generalisation, in my opinion less easy to train, less obedient and not for beginners, because very explosive/dangerous. To screw up a GS training you need to go out of your way, beat him up and cage him, then you have a killing machine. I could explain more, but in a nutshell where the Malinois is going to attack like a moron and hurt people and/or other dogs, the GS, will try to dissuade the attacker, then eventually pinch him. (But seriously some Malinois are fantastic too, just not for everyone.) I prefer the GS for a reason, if they move seriously it's disaster, that is why they are very careful, mine had to school a pit bull (among other time swhere he only had to play smooth), and even so he only grabbed him from the neck then released him, without actually hurting him, did that several times the other understood. He know I don't like him fighting. I cannot start to explain the level of sophistication of a good GS compared to any other dogs. Power will get you into an ocean of trouble without control, a good Gs can break for food, games or attack immediately, and that's what you want.
