I'd recommend grabbing enchanting at the starting zone after you get off the boat and DE'ing all the gear you can from quests, rares, dungeons, and whatever else. It should take care of a lot of the enchanting first crafts costs and makes it even better if you want to end up with enchanting as a real profession in the end you should be close to 50 which is basically the where most progression ends until people decide to start buying crafting orders to level you up past that.

If you plan on leveling several toons level the ones you gather with 1st, your gatherers are going to get xp as you gather regardless, when you get to your craft professions on your crafting alts, you can send anything you gathered with your now 70 alts to your other alts.

Wonder if you could craft one profession - drop it, re pick it up and then get another first craft xp again. Or if it’s once per toon per profession. If it does work, some professions are far cheaper to level up

actually no as far as i recall, because the XP you can get through first crafts is capped at around 700k apparently

With the fourth or fifth twink it's a nice time saving. But I guess the longer the expansion is live the less you can sell the crafted stuff after and the more this saving will cost you

Im at 69. Savoring it. 3 spec mainly blood DK. unholy is insane but blood gets a bladestorm but with bones. Next up pally and then a druid Based on the experience points gotten from dungeons seems like if somebody wants to go from 60 to 70 fastest they ought to do the quest campaign while queued for a dungeon if DPS and heal it gets slow around level 60 and then up to like 60 but once you start getting gear and go above 100K health and start hitting 10K crit it's much easier to pull more enemies I can't imagine how it's going to be with the protection Paladin and guardian Druid probably pull the entire Zone with the Paladin

Update to this: They nerfed first time crafts so instead of gaining xp from 60 first time crafts you can only do 30. If you're alliance with WM on you get 15k for each so its like 450k xp so i defo still do it. Matts are a lot cheaper its around 10k to get all material you need but u cant resell for any profiy anymore.

This+ some side quest zones will get you 70 in 3-4 hrs. Following a route right now that got my lock to 70 in 4 hrs

Also some of the crafting is locked behind renown so harder (adds more time cause I swapped swap professions)

It doesn't work anymore. At level 68, leveling tailoring all the way up and hitting every first time crafting got me 3/4 of one level. It's a little faster than questing though.

I went from 68 to 69.8 just only leveling Enchanting and JC as my main professions moments ago on an alt doing the first craft for every item that is offered by the trainer. If I did all the cheaper parts of every other profession I would have gotten much more than two levels.

There is literally no need to level fast. It will be more than two weeks until anything important becomes available. Even the spark of ingenuity is gated. You have plenty of time to level multiple toons to 70 just playing the game. Renown is sooo important this expansion. Just do the quests. Its actually more important that you unlock the dailies than anything.

100k isn't much anymore. I leveled engineering on my Rogue with mostly mats I got from mining. I pulled 47k gold off the AH one day and then 27k off a little bit later. From one crafting session with mostly my own mats.
