Ordered one with your discount code. ;) Had to wait for it, because they just sold out. Got mine last Tuesday Sept. 3 Tested it on the driving range, made some adjustments to Lie Loft and Draw/Fade. Ended up with -1/L+/D for the most neutral and long path. (I'm 1m96 hence the L+) I love this driver, it looks great behind the ball, you get a good indication where the face is aimed at, it looks great from every side, it feels great, I went for the 60gr Cat 4 X-stiff. It sounds much nicer than any carbon driver, IMHO. I made the right choice. I hit it longer and straighter. Thanks for the tip, this review pointed me in the right direction. ;)

Being easily led and quite weak-willed and with too much time on my hands I have ordered one based on your video :) I have a swing speed of around 95-100 mph. I am going to compare the Eleven to my TSR3 on a Graphite Design shaft fitted earlier this year by a leading pro shop to suit me. If you would be interested in the results I will try to carry out an as honest as possible comparison on my Skytrak + launch monitor. I can't wait to see the results TBH. Thinking something like 20 drives with each with the worst 3 deleted so that I can get a reasonable average for both distance and dispersion.

You already provide a fantastic service to all of us with the hard work you do to test at three speeds, so don't take this comment as a request for more work, just an observation based on my own experience. Your 90 mph driver club speed may be a bit high for the category of slower speed swings. According to Trackman the average male amateur driver swing speed is 93.4 mph, with carry of 214 yds. Only 6% have driver swing speeds of 106-110 mph, 23% have 96-100 mph, 22% 91-95 m[h, 15% 86-90 mph, 9% 81-85 mph and 6% 76-80 mph. So 76 to 90 mph covers fully 30% of your audience. Perhaps if you wanted to stay with 10 mph gaps, speeds of 105, 95 and 85 might better reflect the amateur male sector. Three years ago I did a Trackman session that produced driver swing speed of 86.3 mph with carry 205.8 and 7 iron swing speed of 79.8 and carry of 137.3 (34 degree loft on forged blade). I turned 83 on June 17, so age has brought those down a bit. I don't have access to a Trackman in the practice bays I use, but have to estimate club speed based on an overhead Foresight QC Hawk monitor. (Will do a lesson with Trackman in early July.) It seems that my 7 iron swing speed is now close to 70 mph and driver closer to 80 with carry more like 195. So I am at the slow-slow end, but could still relate more to 85 mph results than to 90 mph.
@AskGolfNut4 ай бұрын
Hi John, sorry I haven't replied to this sooner, somehow it slipped through the cracks... The only reason I chose 90, 100 and 110 is that it is the same steps down from my normal speed as the Iron reviews that I do. 70, 80 and 90 mph. I absolutely take your point that actually to be more representative I would need to probably drop another 10mph in each category... The only thing stopping me really is its much harder to capture the information I need to at those much less reduced speeds, my delivery starts to become effected and I then don't have data that matches other speed datasets. Its something that I will have to work on to try and dial in that much slower speed 👍
@user-di8vz5ec1i3 ай бұрын
@AskGolfNut Or you could bring people on who have slower swing speeds as I too have an average carry of 195-200 yards with my driver. Nevertheless, thank you for your review. It looks like something I might consider putting in my bag.

@AskGolfNut7 ай бұрын
Hi there, to do a proper evaluation on them it would take far more than 4 shots.... Me being human will dictate that unfortunately.... I'd have to hit a large number of shots to ensure the dataset has a good average of shots. The bit most see is the 4 or 5 shots hit on camera, what most don't see is the 250 shots hit with the driver testing at multiple swing speeds and the forgiveness testing also.... I'm sure my ageing body won't be up to it soon enough 😁👍🏻

Interesting review. How would this compare to the Ping G430 Max/10K in forgiveness?
@AskGolfNut7 ай бұрын
On balance of all strike locations, the Ping would be a bit more stable, mainly from it's Heel strike performance. If you hit the driver anywhere other than that then it's going to be a very close race.... The toe and high toe on this Driver is possibly one of the very best I've ever seen 👍🏻

@@AskGolfNut Thanks for your reply, Jay. I really love your coverage of 3 different swing speeds and forgiveness comparisons during mishits. Since I didn't get fit with this driver, I would love your feedback in terms of what spec I might want to order this driver in. My driver SS is usually around 92-94mph range. I sort of sit at the at the end of R and beginning of S flex and not sure how the KBS TD shaft will play for me. My gamer driver is the original 10.5 Callaway GBB Epic set at +2 degrees (so 12.5 degrees). As you could guess, I'm a low launch player with bad misses being big pulls to the left. My shaft is Fubuki J 50 R flex with half inch tipped. I was thinking about ordering the NH1 in 10.5 head, KBS TD 50g, Stiff Flex, 45.5 length. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated...thanks!
@AskGolfNut7 ай бұрын
@9MoonRyong9 I don't think you'll be too far off the mark there as, the 10.5 head can always be changed in loft to suit any launch requirements. If you are a low launch player it would be tempting to go for the 12 degree option for a larger launch window however, I think the 10.5 option you suggested is a better play as it will allow you to work with your current swing and also the head can be adjusted in a large enough fashion to allow you to seek some swing help and any changes made won't put you outside what the Driver head can adjust to, so you be getting the 10.5 option can have some future proofing going forward 👍🏻

@AskGolfNut3 ай бұрын
Rough and Bunker testing is an interesting topic due to the very inconsistent nature of the surface and the multitude of reactions that can happen. This provides a very much uneven test bed to evaluate how a club will work so it's unfair to either or depending on such. Also the golfer in question using the equipment and their own skillset when in those conditions make more difference then that of the club. It's full of subjective opinions rather than objective results 👍

@@AskGolfNut He's talking about the hot metal option for extra charge available when you order the driver. EDIT: And I suppose it's a good question, worth knowing.
@James51272 ай бұрын
Eleven has a Hot Melt option. If your tendency is to slice or fade excessively they can add material to the heel which makes it heavier. The toe then goes through better and helps straighten your shot. If you snap hook your dirves they add material to the toe making it heavier so that the heel catches up. It is a $20 labor charge. I saw another video where they did this to a club. The main clubmaker at Eleven has his driver Melted to his preference. I may be incorrect in the cause and cure. If I am then I apologize for the error. It has been awhile since I watched the Eleven club maker do this.

According to Eleven, it has been passed by the R&A, I'm not sure how the website update works as its a USGA website rather than a joint USGA and R&A one. You can only go by what the manufacturers tell you and they say it has narrowly passed all governing tests. Being honest I don't think that Eleven Golf have the money to be able to pay a Tour players contract to play the driver (they want millions and even the likes of Mizuno a multi million pound company can't justify paying the crazy amounts some do) so without any on tour and really the only measurements done to verify legality, the likes of normal tournaments and local events, there is no way to disprove it being conforming. What length would you say for someone 6’ even. 45.75 or 45.5.
@AskGolfNut6 ай бұрын
Hi there, to be honest over the years the standard driver shaft lengths have got longer and longer and this hasn't got anything to do with humans getting massively taller, it's all to do with club head speed gain, longer shaft commonly means faster speed. Although also commonly means less control. Even if you were north of 6 foot generally the standard length shaft is still absolutely fine so at 6 foot either or will work. Personally I've always opted for a shorter shaft in my driver. The shaft I used for the review was 45.25" long and that all represents half inch longer than my normal custom length. So at standard length of even a quarter inch short it'll be absolutely fine 👍🏻 Don't forget the promo code 😉👍🏻👍🏻

My swing speed is typical for a woman of my age, late 60’s which is 80 km an hour (50 miles an hour) - I believe these clubs are for golfers who have trouble and need the extra help of clubs like ELEVEN. Surely the swing speeds you’re showing (90 ml and up) are brilliant young golfers. How would these and the driver relate to me? Thank you.
@AskGolfNut2 ай бұрын
Hi Jane, thank you for your comment. In a golf youtube world of male dominated, it's nice to have a female follower 👍 To answer your question, it's probably easier to explain saying that any and all differences on any golf club are magnified with speed. So tendencies or bias to one thing or another is vastly more exaggerated when swing speed increases. So with a swing speed in the 50mph the actual differences between all drivers would be negligible and the correct fitting to optimise ball flight is far far more essential. Getting an adequately lofted driver and a slow swing speed creates the launch and spin window needed for maximising your distance and having it adjustable in the head allows you to adjust it for the time of year when fairway roll out is a larger factor than ultimate carry in winter. At 50mph if you are thinking about purchasing the Eleven Driver I would say that unless you deliver extra loft in your swing that getting the highest lofted option would be the way to go 👍

@@AskGolfNut thanks for replying. I just had my swing speed checked by my own pro shop and it’s actually 70 miles per hour. So I see that’ll be a different consideration. I’ve actually gone ahead and ordered the 3 - pw ELEVEN and I’ll consider the driver for my next purchase. I’ll have to stick to my ping g430 for now. Thanks again.

$486 in Australia…. Mmmm nup!
@AskGolfNutАй бұрын
Personally given the currency conversion from GBP to AUD and shipping it there compared to buying a Titliest GT3 for example at circa $1049, over twice the price... But does the GT3 go any further depending on the fitting.... Mmm Nup 😊 It's always difficult for any DTC as primarily the additional cost for the main brands surrounds the centres for custom fitting where the DTC rely heavily on golfers knowing their own fitting. But if you do, there are some massive savings to be had 👍

@@AskGolfNutfair call on the Titleist. But you can get Cobra, Srixon and Tour Edge for sub $800.. pretty much all the 2024 models are going for around that price or less now. Also it went up to $498 since my last post, plus $120 delivery so $618. it’s not really that much cheaper than the 2nd tear brands.

@keyboardoracle1044 did the discount code still work? 👍
@AskGolfNutАй бұрын
Just had a quick look myself and yes it's coming out at 570 dollars which is equivalent to £284.10. £60 of that is shipping which I guess is completely unavoidable and shipping something to the other side of the world won't necessarily be cheap. Still it's a great driver for the money, if you can find something that performs just as well for less then absolutely I would always say to everyone get the best bang for your buck every time 👍

@@AskGolfNut I didn’t use the discount code, I just went to have a look for curiosity, I’m wondering are taxes included in the cost. I agree with you though cost of golf is insane. I’m buying a whole new bag, all my clubs are about 15 years old, past their best before date and not suited to how I play now. I won’t get much change from $5000. Even DTC would be $3500 to buy an entire bag. I need to try out some clubs too like 7 wood, 5 hyb, 4wood. So much has changed since I bought my last set.

You can purchase via their website and get a discount using the code I had on screen. I would assume it would more than pay for the shipping to Portugal 👍

These clubs are just find for right handed golfers. Wish they made them for us leftys.
@AskGolfNut6 ай бұрын
As their other equipment has become more popular they have increased the range to include left handed options... If the Driver is as popular then I can near on guarantee that a left handed option will be produced and they will want to make it available asap 👍🏻

Eleven Golf have a history of releasing their equipment in Right Handed and if it does well, they then add LH to the range. If the Driver goes well as it is currently then it won't be long I would have thought before they release the LH version 👍

Oh look! Another golf company that pretends left-handed people don't exist! 😠
@AskGolfNut11 күн бұрын
Unfortunately it costs a lot of money for creating the setup for left handed heads so before a smaller company can justfiy the expenditure they really need to have enough interest from the left handed golfers. I would suggest to reach out to Eleven even if only by email to register your interest. The more they get the more chance of getting the option you want 👍👍

@AskGolfNut the older I get, the more bitter I am about it. But it was way worse in the 90s so it has gotten a good bit better
