I think £2-3 for PSP games are fine. I think their is no problem with some of the prices they were asking why should they take a massive hit on the games.

I managed to get a PC for £5 from a carboot the other week. Cleaned it up and installed Windows 95 on it. Boom! Retro gaming rig sorted.

DS lite? Interesting..I've just picked up a 'pristine' white one from Music Magpie, 11 years after I sold my original! I've been on an ebay spree picking up cheap boxed (with instructions) DS games.. Handheld wise, I also own the new 2DS XL, new 3DS XL and PS vita, looking at getting the PSP again..

It sadly seems prices at the carboots are rocketing. Although I did find a copy of jumanji on ps4 for 50p on Bank Holiday Monday at my local one so don't lose hope.

its kinda funny how much people think there junk is worth i used to go to these things a couple years ago and the games and consoles were always more expensive and in poorer condition compared to what i could just buy online or at places like EB Games/Game etc.

I went to a carboot on Sunday and there was 2 stalls with more than 5 games/fifa games it was a bit disappointing but managed to kop a few good ones regardless for a bargain price 🤘🏻

went to a carboot in nottingham near my house a couple of weeks ago and buried in the bottom of a box full of absolutely battered playstation and xbox controllers i found two official ps2 dualshock controllers in clear and clear blue in prestine condition for £2 each Always check through them boxes on carboots you never know what is in there

I'm a PC gamer myself but have nothing againts console gamers. One thing about this retro game collecting i don't understand is, don't some of these games need to connect to servers for the latest updates to run/work? I know the old consoles that use carts don't but the likes of Xbox/PS games maybe and these servers do evetually shut down

Not if it’s a console based retro game 😆

As I understand it, and I may be wrong of course.. all console based retro games (360 era downwards) will still work regardless if their servers are shut down.. you may not be able to access online features of course, but should still be able to play the game. Live service games are still relatively new.

Deuce, it's like a portable yard sale. Instead of people setting up tables on a front yard or driveway, they fill a car 'boot' (even backseat ) and drive to a field, or large carpark where the car boot sale is being held. Upon arriving they normally pay a small fee like £10 to be able to set up a pop up table by the vehicle and sellers take the items out of the vehicle and display them on the table to sell.
