Whats needed are mature trees that are native to a particular region. While the trend is cut mature trees & instead plant saplings that would take more than 10 years to mature . By the 10 year mark even these would be cut down. So planting saplings serves little purpose. Protecting mature trees & not cutting its branches randomly is whats critically needed .

Both actions are important. Saplings are important as are the already mature trees. Apart from native trees, one should plant fruit trees - so that fruits (a valuable food) is literally a consumer surplus, and will also tackle the environment problem - perhaps a food forest - like what is aimed in Permaculture.

@@dip-tree Saplings alone are not the solution. Coz they take a long time to become mature trees. Plant saplings but its far more important to conserve trees that are already mature . Also be it fruit trees or any other , native trees should be given preference.

As someone who has been planting lots of saplings and which have become healthy trees in due course, I disagree with you to only consider protecting grown-up trees (which is also important no doubt, but cannot be the magic pill solution). I have done years of permaculture, and its efficacy can be readily seen by people. As a pilot we have often taken seed-balls and scattered on barren areas (while flying above) - with wonderful transformation in the years that followed. Bottom-line, I understand your sentiments, but we have to take many approaches to solving the problem at hand. Also first find ways to prevent corporations from decimating forests. Equally important to find ways in which poor people from rural areas are not forced to chop down forests for their survival needs.

It is better to worship one and only one God without setting partners. I think Vedic Literatures also mentions worshipping One true God. The Vedas declare...... O man ! Praise God who is One and One only and who is the Omniscient and Omnipotent Lord of all beings. One God alone is to be worshipped by all people. He is Adorable.

Well that’s the beauty of Hinduism… Believing that everyone is equal and no god is more or less important than anyone… In Bengal, we worship Maa as our mother… She comes to the Earth, her house, with all her children, and stays here, until Doshomi and then leaves for Kailash again… Laxmi Saraswati, Ganesh and Kartik come to earth just as people visit their maternal uncle’s home…That is why they are also worshipped as maa’s Children…I do agree that There is one true god, Paramatma, and each and every god is the manifestation of him/her..but I don’t think worshipping only one god is what Vedic literature teaches…
