Happens all the time there. I ride my ebike there a lot. When sand gets on the bike path it's slippery as hell. You get a lot of tourists renting bikes and they just don't know. Always falling over or crashing into skaters lol.

to measure accurate battery voltage, it must be under load. That's why it bounces back after turning it off - no load. You'd need to buy a resistor that can handle that wattage; it will get hot too (the resistor). Used to work for a company that supplied the start up batteries for trains.

Interesting looking bike, and I love magnesium... as long as you don't light it! Efficiency at 31.25 watt hours per mile was not too bad considering how hard you were pushing it. 20 inch tires are just not good in the sand, and even though you can make decent progress if you have 1,200 watts or more and drop tire pressure, steering is still a problem. On one ride with friends, I was able to go through almost as well as a Grizzly (power wise), but I hated how the sand flipped my front wheel every which way. Thanks for the video!

Would be nice if you did controller programming review. Could have been set to 10amps. Could have 0-9 pas settings. Battery bars can be ok if you can know/program what voltage each bar has. Samsung cells seem to have high voltage drop though. We don't know if everything bad about this bike can be programmed away. Thanks for voltage check. Almost always, turning it off/on again will give the resting voltage.

Ordered a Luckeep X-1 electric bike with a 750 Watt Bafang motor in the rear as you call your channel TailHappyTV... supposed to take 35 degree inclines good and such and will see. The LucKeep from what I understand has an electronic deal and partnership with Susuki motorcycles. The frame on the machine is beautiful in color as well as shape and it is a hard tail E-Bike... reminds me a little bit of this machine you are reviewing. I have another E-Bike I use that is 26 Inch Mountain Bike style I like with rack on it and pannier bags. Will add pannier bags for the Luckeep and it has a lot of features for the price point... such as automatic turn signals on the back and powerful headlight, horn and a with BikeAppPro the bike motor can be adjusted for prefererences riding it with a smart phone. The bike also has built in alarm system and is a folding bike. Lost my left leg in 2018 below the knee and my girl friend of many years died from cancer and a brain tumor on February 7th, 2023 at 1:53 PM... her last two words to me was ..."love you" ... and she wanted me to live the best and survive a long life after her passing. I had got organ transplants on December 7th, 2011, duel and was cut in half twice and my organ donor was a ballet, lyrical and jazz dancer whome was murdered at age nineteen by a drunk doctor driving intoxicated so the LucKeep E-Bike purchase reminded me of all the luck I've had staying alive, with odds of a trillion to one all that stuff would work so a lot played into the purchase mentally. Any way some time if you ever come across a LucKeep a review of it would be nice to see... ordered mine and it is coming from Rialto, California at the huge Amazong Warehouse there... hopefully it arrives in the window of time they told me it would show up and LucKeep has already contacted me with links to every instructional video on the bike and more and that surprised me. They have good customer service it seems... any way a link to what it looks like here and I think the machine is beautiful in how it looks... wish you the best and thank you for your video reviews... hopefully I can have some nice rides on the LucKeep when I have days I feel a bit lost since my girl friend died in February... into the sun set and such things... here is the video link of the LucKeep but no really good reviews have been done on it yet...kzbin.info/www/bejne/jorZZoGnlqplotE

Here is another video link of the LucKeep X-1 and I like the way the rear end of it was put together.. "tail happy" and it has beautiful curves in the style of the machine... reminds me of the Mitsubishi Eclispes "Spider" I used to own before a pizza delivery driver hit me head on in a turn lane I was in rushing to deliver pizza and I woke up facing the opposite direction and had caught on fire and some lady from Florida was in my passenger seat and I was going to unbuckle and get out and she told me not to move... I had been on fire... I had to laugh because the air bags went off and sounded like a gun before I lost consciousness... air bags caught me on fire in the collison but saved my life... and the LucKeep design reminds of the beautiful curves I had in that Eclipse I owned... a pizza driver destroyed... LOL! Any way here is the video link for the LucKeep and would be nice if they would let you review one... I have a 2023 model of it ordered and even though it is a hard tail I like how it looks for a folding E-Bike design... wish you the best as well and all those that watch your reviews on this stuff...kzbin.info/www/bejne/oJSvXqhvlJWljKM

Trivia, ... the volt meter you have is a DVOM (digital volt ohm meter). It operates with high impedance. When you measure with it, essentially the circuit does not know the meter is there. Now a volt meter with the needle (which is still used for various reasons) ... can be a problem, especially with powered logic circuits. The needle type does create a circuit and causes error in readings to boot. .. Most modern meters (DVOM) do have fuses if you were to badly misuse it. Nice video but I am curious what the simple street/bike path distance would be. Harsh driving, if needed, would be an emergency or such .. I want a cruiser that is foldable and power enough to go quite a distance. Dimensions of minimum space needed for foldable to "fit" would be great. Nobody does this... so high, so wide and so deep... This is important .. I know web sites have it and I can hound it out but the neat "here is the fact" would greatly save the impatient buyer. I enjoy your videos too.. pat

We purchased this Vivi 27.5” electric bike and a Tentaquil 26” electric bike for our 13 and 14 year olds. kzbin.infoUgkxUiL0GnyDjP32RJdd660sP8mZk4CRLTCJ The Vivi was much easier to put together. With the Vivi, there was a video link to assist with assembly which made the process easier to follow (we did put the handlebars on upside down, but it was a quick and easy fix). With the Tentaquil, the assembly was not as simple to follow, but after we messaged the company for an assembly video, it was easier and they did respond quickly. The other major differences were that the Vivi has a grip throttle on the right handle (like a motorcycle) and the Tentaquil has a push throttle that you use your thumb to activate. The monitors were also different, so if you’re looking for something specific in terms of changing the bikes functions, pay attention to what the monitor offers. We were really impressed with the overall quality and functionality of both bikes, but if you’re looking for more power and an easier assembly, definitely go with the Vivi!

Ya bud, that bike is not running to spec. 1000w 25ah 48v is really powerful...That bike has more power than my stock Polarna M6 and I can tear through the sand easily. Im 215 and got about 35-40 miles on battery throttle only. Now I have a second 20ah battery on top of the 17.5ah get 75-80 miles on battery alone. Upgraded to a 35amp controller also.. Acceleration, speed, and distance all a lot better! 29 mph to 34-35 flat ground if anyone interested in knowing. That EUY out of the box should be a barn burner!!. I'm a little confused when you say this is a legal bike. In California, the legal limit for ebike motors is 750w. This one is advertised as 1,000w. Thier press copy doesn't specify if this is nominal or max. The police in CA are already woefully ignorant of the laws on the books and regularly hassle legal riders, so I would double check before relying on these claims of legality.
@AllDogsAreGoodDogs Жыл бұрын
I believe you're mixing Rating and Actual Use. The motor may be rated 1kw, but if your controller only feeds it 750W, then it *should* be OK.
@ElderTechDragon Жыл бұрын
@@AllDogsAreGoodDogs The whole point of publishing the higher number is to inform the customer of the max wattage the controller will draw under load. 750 is the nominal wattage. But in the 4 months since I posted this question I've learned these bikes are stamped on the frame with a 750w rating which is what most cops with go by if they stop you.

Do you ever plan on doing any sort of comparison on all the bikes you've received? The videos are somewhat entertaining, but they're more like individual unboxing/ first impression, infomercials. While this bike seems ok, with some major design flaws if it was compared to something like the Aniioki bikes any of them, it's a horrible deal, you could get a similar specc'd bike for much less or a 100+ mile range bike with better utility for similar price. Have you kept any of them? A Top Gear style leaderboard where feature set vs price would provide some real value beyond entertainment. Do you even ride any of them after you get your footage. You should do a torture test to see how long it takes to kill them, either real-world based or more Jackass style.
