I think the same way about E-mountainbikes(with pedals)! I saw the hate online and kind of joined in, then my dad bought a couple and they're absolutely life-changing for trails with lots of climbing, I definitely like a lighter bike for downhill because you don't need the electric boost or the weight, but for all-around trail riding, analog bikes don't even compare. The e-bikes make it more fun and when you climb with analog mountain bikes, it feels like you're pedaling through deep sand!
@RockyPondProductions6 ай бұрын
I like the E-MTB conceptually for older riders or people with mobility issues. But I have to admit it is also getting more people outside and that is never a bad thing. It might be something I get down the road as I age but at the moment I like keeping things separate. The MTB is analog and any motor will have to be a dirt bike at minimum.
@MrChadx13 ай бұрын
@@RockyPondProductions I have both, ride both and love both (analog and eMTB). Very different rides. Has nothing to do with injury or being old. I ride dirtbikes, too, and the eMTB is just a step in between. You are in charge of how much of a workout you get. You can ride them with less of a workout, or come home panting and dripping with sweat. I do the later. Same number of minutes ride and same workout, but I've traveled three times the distance so can do trails simply go deeper into the mountains. I'll often ride my eMTB with my wife on her Surron LBX or on a ATV so keeping ahead of either is a great way to get a workout! Ha.

Nice review and quite how i feel about the Stark, or rather the electric drivetrain. You can hear the amount of grip and that's awesome. However i would love to line-up this bike next to the Stark. Give both an hour or so to dial in suspension and power settings and have a go at some MX/Enduro/Cross-Country. I can however see how this is a lot cheaper then the Stark Varg: Battery Starg Varg 6.5kW but they raised the voltage in an update so it should be a bit more, riding time did get up roughly 10-15% so that's good. However the EXE is 6kW. There will be a range gap, since E motors are close to a 100% efficiënt i wouldn't think one would use less power then the other. How they will ever get to 118 miles range is a mistery to me, however at the 22 mph they stated and on the street might be possible. However nobody will ever check, riding such a bike at 22 mph... The Stark is on the expensive KYB A-kit suspension, this they won't give you the brand. Bear in mind that the Stark suspension comes set to your weight/requirements. There is a 30 hp power gap. 37kW for the EXE is just under 50hp. Although i put my Stark at 45hp most of the time so i wouldn't bother too much. Brembo vs J.Juan brakes (wich i don't care for, but well there is a gap).

Nice run, but this track doesn't look very technical, maybe slippery but otherwise too flat. What about the range ???
@MrChadx13 ай бұрын
Most of the range tests on the EX880 with the largest battery are getting 55miles of all-out single track riding. Like most electric dirtbikes, a realistic range in the real world riding hard can be estimated by taking the companies "range estimate" and dividing it in half. Their range are at steady speeds on roads at a low speed (usually they say the speed, like 19mph or 22mph). So with eDirtbikes, If the advertised range is 60 miles, you can expect 30 miles. If the advertised range is 119miles, you can expect 60 miles.

I don’t hate these things. I just hate the fanboys saying they’re better and the future when on range alone they clearly on even on par yet, let alone better. The one area where these would be a huge win is where the sound is a problem. Being so quite they would open up so many places to ride that we currently can’t. While the silence has its advantages, the noise of an ICE is one of the things I love about them. The noise is like music. You said you had a lot of fun. How much did not having the noise change the experience of riding?
@airindiana6 ай бұрын
I’m not convinced that the lack of noise will be a benefit to getting places opened. Arguably the public are now even more aware of dirt bikes since electric bikes in a very negative way - since e dirt bikes became the chariot of choice for the local drug peddlers or traccy bottom wearing scallies. I think getting new options opened up even with lack of noise is a horse that has already bolted out the gate in the UK and I think the silence being a benefit to be milked is over reaching at least in the UK. It might help stave off MX track closures for a bit but I don’t see it opening up vast amounts of more opportunities. The public and council just hate dirt bikes period. The main challenge with enduro events and getting permission to use land tends to be damage to land from what I understand not noise as the events tend to be out in the sticks anyway.

@@Ozfreerider_adventures oh no..i did not say it has better suspension than varg. I said it has better suspension than most of them. You must also consider, that arctic leopard is road legal , and price is 40% lower than varg. Read some reviews of arctic leopard 880 on you tube. You will understand, why the author of this video named it game changer..even better..ride one and you be the judge

@@MERMBRAMA in comments days suspension is one of the reasons it’s a “game changer” in video says suspension is a bad point of the bike 🤷♂️

These bikes are incredible, had one for a few months and can’t fault it at all, power and battery range is unlike any other electric bike I’ve ridden would highly recomend!

Why did you only have it for a few months? What happened to it? Thanks.
