Got the e5 about 6 months ago. I play almost every day and use this cart during weekdays. I ride on weekends. So I think I have enough rounds in to give a very informed opinion. My foursome has two other ecart users (different brands, one with follow mode, and one non-follow) so I also have some real world comparisons. The good - 1) when it work, it is great 2) when controlling the cart out in front of me, I have never had a problem other than the remote button sticking 2) it has never tipped over, but I also play on relatively flat courses 3) collapses down to a nice manageable size 4) the app and speed adjustments are nice 5) the price is good compared to the other follow cart options 6) the pocket for storage is nice 7) sturdy construction The bad - In follow mode - 1) the cart often lags behind (multiple times a round) 2) the cart has a mind of its own. It’ll lag behind and start spinning around, evidently looking for the remote signal (maybe 1x every round) The battery - 1) the battery doesn’t always stay locked in. Sometimes requiring multiple tries to get it properly seated. And of course the cart doesn’t work unless the battery is locked in. I’ve already smashed my finger a couple times trying to firmly secure the battery in place. The remote - 1) the joy stick/button often sticks, sending the cart off in any direction 2) the remote holder is very cheap. The clip already broke, so now I have to put remote in back pocket Other - 1) the range is limited, especially compared to other ecarts 2) top speed is slower than other brands 3) cart needs line of sight to remote, otherwise it’ll stop. The smallest hill/mogul between your remote and cart will stop the cart 4) customer service - reached out to Axglo regarding my battery issue via their website… no response Bottom line - If I had to do it again, I prob would purchase a different ecart. Lots of positives about the unit, but the bugs are just a nuisance. It really detracts from my enjoyment of the round when I have to constantly turn around to see if the cart is following me, or off into the weeds. I find myself using follow mode 50% of the time. In hindsight, I might opt for a non-follow ecart. Or if I really needed the follow feature, I might spend a few more bucks and get the Stewart. It’s not bad, but it’s also not great.

Thanks for this! Super valuable info... I was just about to get the e5 but now I might not... Then again the e5 is almost half the price of the q follow in Australia for some reason... Maybe follow mode isn't worth it... But I'd really rather not fiddle with a remote constantly during a round at all if I could avoid it

@@huddwah I got the Stuart Q-follow. Works really well. You need to be a bit into this stuff (my wife who is low tech would not enjoy it) but I find it great. Follow mode works very well if you start it when you are close enough ot the cart (you just need to experience it then no issue). Follow me only on fairways as on a path with higher rough edges it will tip over. I actually use follow me mode much less than the remote mode. I love sending the cart fast ahead of me to my ball. I can use the remote without looking at it as it is much more intuitive and works 100% accurate without a glitch so I can trust it 100% around water hazards and greens without stress. I love sending my cart around the green. saves a ton of time and along the fairway when looking for (my flight mate's ball). I did have some repairs as mine is 3 years old and since mine they have improved the build quality (handle and base of hard plastic broke and got exchanged on warranty, Yesterday I spent 300 euros on two new motors as the hard plastic screw holders broke off. Very poor build quality which they have improved on the new motors but mine were out of warranty so I had to pay 300 euros). But, all in all a great cart

I’ve had the e3 for over a year. Into my second season. I’ve had remote carts for over 30 yrs. From MGI, Stewart, Kangaroo etc. You name it I’ve had it. This is by far the best remote cart I have ever had. It folds and unfolds in seconds. (BTW you missed that the front wheels fold under on the e5 making it one of the smallest packages available so move that rating to 4 or 5) It’s ease of use and at my course it’s on follow mode 95% of the time. It is Chinese not Canadian made. As one of the comments made in error. This is the best remote cart I’ve ever seen.

I was about to pull the trigger on the MGI AI Navigator GPS+ (newer style remote) based on your MGI Navigator AT review, and came across this review an hour before making my purchase. I ended up getting the Axglo E5 because of the follow feature and the boxing week sales prices were the same between these two carts. A couple of critiques regarding the review. 1. You didn't fold the front wheels under to make the cart even more compact (you've probably been told this already). 2. Would have been nice for you to include some comments on how well the cart tracks with the remote control like you did with the M7 and MGI AT comparison. Thanks again for your reviews - I find them very helpful and informative (obviously, this review had an impact on my purchase).

Thanks for watching and your comment. It's a great cart especially with all the features you get for the price. I didn't test out the remote feature as thoroughly as I was really excited about the follow feature which works great. I don't even use the remote much, only in limited situations around the greens and teeboxes and it works well. No complaints. Enjoy your new cart!

The alphard and the mgi zip have a gyroscope in the motor so if/when the cart is traveling on a slope (one real wheel higher than the other) that it stays on that path vs. turning down the hill like a non motorized push cart would naturally do. Does this cart have that feature?

This is a totally cool cart if you want the follow you mode. I found out that when you have the cart in front of you (ala other e carts) you can’t adjust the speed on the remote. Only on the dial ON the cart.
@NewNineGolf
@NewNineGolf Жыл бұрын
I thought I recall being able to adjust speeds on the remote. Did you try using the app?
@jcjbike
@jcjbike Жыл бұрын
@@NewNineGolf Axglo sent me this email... "For our e3, while using the remote, you won't be able to control the speed unless you change the max speed on the app. For the e5, you can use the power assisted cruise control to change the speed while you walk in front of the cart. (Not remote control)" While it seems odd a unit this advanced wouldn't have that built into their remote, it is what it is. I suppose if you are only using this in follow me mode, it wouldn't matter but I've used the alphard and mgi and when it's in front of you, there are many times you are adjusting speed from the remote.

Axglo e5 vs stewart Q follow? Which would you Recommend? Does the e5 have a cell phone holder?
@NewNineGolf

The e5 has a cell phone holder. The e5 cost less and has controls on the unit itself if the remote dies. The Q follow is more compact and folds up smaller. Material seem to be a little better. If money is not a consideration. Q follow. The E5 is better value imo.

Oh really eh? That's weird. I tried a couple stand bags and they both fit. Must be the shape of the legs or something. Carts bags definitely will fit but I would suggest testing out different stand bags on it first just to make sure it fits then. I know the Onmix and the vessel fits. Other than that , I don't want to recommend a bag to have it not fit as I haven't tested others.

Considering the difference in price, how does this compare to the Stewart Q Follow
@NewNineGolf
@NewNineGolf 10 ай бұрын
The biggest difference is the size. Q follow is smaller and compact, and a little easier to store. On the course however, the AXGLO can be used with or without the remote and the biggest flaw with the q follow is needing the remote at all times.
