Pretty nice looking watch there. A Version 2 at 36mm would make it a perfect dress watch....for me.

Still one of my favorite dials dress watch. I daily it too. Due for a new strap. The best feature is the anti smudge coating! IT IS ALWAYS CLEAN AND SHARP!!! More brands need to use this coating.

Honestly while I am not in the market for a dresswatch I wish this microbrand the best of luck. They made a phenomenal product and I am looking forward to any future models from them. Looking at their enamel work I would love if they did a black dial with applied mother of pearl indices (calling back to Korean heritage).

The price is right on this one with everything it has to offer. There are microbrands using NH-35s that charge that amount...

Beautiful! The dimensionality of the numerals is surprisingly amazing. If money was no object, I would customize one with a display caseback. I'm always a sucker for a small seconds subdial.

Nice watch. The face is an actual carbon copy, dial, hands, font, subdial of my great grandads 1938 Swiss Revue pocket watch that is still going strong. A real double take moment there!

Dang! I searched for it, and although what I found wasn't exactly the same it IS awesomely similar. Nice pocket watch, too!

@@danspencer9499 Yes! There are an awful lot of variations of these pocket watches Dan. They often made them to order. The story of mine, you might find interesting. The watch was actually made specifically for the Turkish Railway Co of the time for use by station masters timing the trains. I'd like to think it may have been used on the Orient Express line but that's just speculation. Anyway my forebear was an official with the Irish Embassy which was in Ankara but he was based in Istanbul. He received it as a gift from the Railways minister when he was returning to Ireland. It's been in the family ever since. In a crazy twist of fate, and with no real connection to those events, I attended a wedding of a great friend in Istanbul many years later, met my future wife at that wedding and now, I'm happily living in Istanbul for almost two decades. It's crazy how things work out! Thanks for the comment!! Much appreciated.

Really gorgeous watch. People complaining about the price have to realize that you’re not going to get an enamel dial for much less. Even the Seiko enamel dial models that are currently available on Joma are going for 775 and that’s like 400 bucks off retail

Most people probably don't realize that the success of enamel dials is not 100%. Cracking failure is common, and it gets expensive to produce.

Very similar to the steinhart marine chronometer but a little more expensive, nicely executed though, enamel dial and true blued hands always looks classy.

That's a very appealing watch, and the price is alright. I'd buy this watch with an exhibition case back and a manual winding Sellita movement like SW216-1.
@ThiHaGadgets
@ThiHaGadgets 2 жыл бұрын
Why manual, just curious?
@vonkruel
@vonkruel 2 жыл бұрын
@@ThiHaGadgets No winding rotor means the watch can be slightly thinner, and one is afforded a better view of the movement through the caseback crystal. I don't have a manual winder yet, and that's also part of the motivation.
@ThiHaGadgets
@ThiHaGadgets 2 жыл бұрын
@@vonkruel I see. I always am afraid that the watch will stop in the middle of wearing and I will look like a fool 😅😅 at least watch should be reliable to tell time. My personal opinion though. Manual winding with power reserve indicator would be nice.

Love how this watch looks! The solid caseback move was the correct one to me, no need to show that simple of a movement. The hour hand is slightly too long but other than that, it’s a stunning piece!

I’ve been looking for a nice watch with numbers on the dial other than a Hamilton and that type of watch is very hard to come by these days. This one ticks all my boxes, not too sure what category this will come under, a field watch has numbers and a dirty dozen does also has numbers so I will put this one in the classical watch section. Got to get one of these 👍

Honestly it's very strange that you would say that the price is a negative for this watch. If anyone can find an enamel dial, blued hands and swiss movement watch for under $1000 let alone under $2000, please let me know because I'd be very interested in buying it.

I think it's just a little too big for its own good. 11mm thick with a 47mm lug to lug is damn near my BB58 and not what I would consider dressy (although I do have small wrists). I think if they slimmed the case down with a different movement, shortened the lugs or made it a 36/38mm, and cleaned up the logo to just the name and no symbol, it would be far more compelling. My two cents.

It’s important to remember this is cold enamel not fired. Cold enamel is labor intensive but nowhere near what fired is. That is why they are able to price at sub-$1k. Still a great watch for the money. I personally think 39mm is too large for a dress watch but I will be in the minority these days.

Dammit !! Now this is Classy and Sexy. The dial is Incredible, and this would be Glorious in precious metal (yellow or white gold) and a display caseback with a decorated rotor. For example, the Lobinni Interlaken with that beautiful micro roto and the perlage' engraving on the movement.

As mentioned already this looks like the Perpetual Watch Co SC-03 which also has real blued hands, an enamel dial with bubbly black inky numbers but runs a Seagull movement which you can see through the display caseback, oh & it's $200. It's actually better looking than this tbh.

This is the second review I’ve seen of the Pitzmann, and I like it even more. The dial, the numerals, the heat-treated hands, the Old World elegance, it all reminds me of something that we might see from Pforzheim, in terms of looks. The problem is that for the price, one could almost get something from Pforzheim. On balance, this is a really legit attempt at a dress watch. I feel like this is a brand to keep an eye on. Maybe they’ll take the new Seiko GMT movement and do a four hand GMT with similar elegance…

Being an enamel dial costs. Defects etc.. Real blued hands also costs. The modification they did to the Selita is probably the same as what Selita would do. I'm ok with a solid case back. Being Selita. It's not something that I'd drool over. They did a good job. The $100 discount places it under US customs fees. Have a similar York & Front would be the main reason I wouldn't get one.
