@stephenjohnston76308 ай бұрын
Everybody DIDN'T survive. Tech stayed dead. All the clone prisoners died. Nala Se sacrificed herself. TBB was a story about a family trying to escape, survive and reinvent themselves after their life's purpose was shown to be a brutal lie - it stayed in that arena, and it was all the better for it. Vader stomping in, a galactic clone rebellion, these things didn't belong, and the Rex/Echo thread through this season showed that this latter theme was a separate story. Even Omega's role in Project Necromancer became about rescuing other lab-imprisoned children: their force-sensitivity and thwarting Sidious' schemes were irrelevant (that respinsibility was handed off to Nala Se). What we got was a spectacular, moving finale that stayed focused on the core characters, instead of losing itself in giant cut-and-paste space fleets and unearned secret villain reveals.

@DpBricks8 ай бұрын
The main premise of many Star Wars films is that they end with hope and I feel they nailed that feeling of hope of the ending here with the squad and many other Clone Troopers finally settling down and eventually Omega heading off to fight in the rebellion. So killing everyone in a dark ending was probably not the move.
@Soundwave4138 ай бұрын
Honestly the ending was refreshing after seeing the trope of someone making the ultimate sacrifice so their teammates can survive, or dead character coming back as some sort of antagonist it was nice that they didn't follow that trope AGAIN.
@alejandro_rodh8 ай бұрын
You don't need a dark ending to have a meaningful one. The happy ending what was the story needed. At the end of the day they were an elite squad and they won not because of the plot but for their abilities. Omega (or one of the kids) controlling the Zillo beast was a silly idea, she didn't even know about midichlorians or the force, after a few hours with Ventress she shouldn't be able to control a fly, much less a giant beast. Tech's death had weight and impact, not bringing him back was the right choice, maybe if the show had a few more seasons they could've played with that idea, but reviving Tech and killing him again of "saving him"? in the series finale was way to much for a single episode. I don't think that anyone had to die, the clones fought for the Republic and then for their freedom, they deserve to live the rest of their lives in peace, that being said, across the whole series countless clones died, just not the ones in the elite group. Crosshair didn't had to die, at the end his story ended in better way, he overcame the PTSD and made a shot with his not shouting hand using a handgun without a scope, at the end he had to overcome all of the trauma to save Omega, and that's more poetic than a sacrifice. The Bad Batch series, told us what happened to the clones after the fall of the Republic and how the stormtroopers came to be. They showed us how the clones were easily disregarded by the empire. It also paved the way for so many more stories surrounding the remaining clones. At the end of the war there were millions of clones and a few years later there's barely a handful, the story of what happened to all the clones and how they disappeared so fast had to be told, and the Bad Batch series told it marvelously.
@UnsortedSeeds8 ай бұрын
Disagree. This episode had me at the edge of my seat from the start because any one of them could have died at any time during that rescue. There was so much teasing from the people involved in this show online that fans believed it was going to be a tragic endorsement for so many of the Batch. Everyone was SURE that Echo, the last Domino, would fall because of the parallels that were made with Fives' final hours. Everyone was SURE that Crosshair would sacrifice himself in a bid for redemption, or maybe even Hunter. Most of us were surprised by the events of this finale, but pleasantly so. We hoped that they would have a peaceful ending where they got to live their lives on Pabu with Omega. A with the exception of Echo, who was always going to remain in the fight to free more of his clone brothers, they did. This was a spectacular final episode for a great show, and I am going to miss it.

No, some fans have become totally obsessed with dark endings and character deaths but Star Wars was always about hope. This was also the "chapter" in the story about the Bad Batch, not the wider Clone Army - so why would the others come in to claim the ending of their story. We already know that more content is coming - just as Bad Batch follwed on from Clone Wars. Underwhelming? Not even slightly. The Batch survived because they kept together as a unit/family and all of thes deserved to survive (leaving them able to appear as supporting characters in the future, just as Rex and others did in their story). Scorch died because he had left his unit behind, diminishing himself in the process. Space is very big, so just because we don't see a character in the narrow window we are lookign through doesn't mean that they are automatically dead.

Nala Se's death was a thing, she avenged her people at the very end of the show. It probably should have happened in the final season, but it was still significant. @ImmortalSociopath8 ай бұрын
She's 13-14 years older than Luke and Leia, and was probably around 17-18 at the end of this show.

I loved this finale, throughout the 40 minutes I felt like it could have gone in so many ways due to great story telling. If anyone didn’t tear up at the end then you need to go talk to a specialist because this was beautiful.

the fact it gave us a suprise ending is worth every minute. Tech was not a commando and nala sey and rampart died its just a wonderful change instead of doing the obvious. As a dad the end was also the most impactful and it is just beautiful . Jurrasic bark vibes. ( futurama )

What? Who wants a Dark ending in a mythology? You so called Star Wars fans whine if a story doesn’t go with your speculation you so want to be proven right. That’s why you leave the storytelling to those who do it far a living. Star Wars is about light & dark & the clones has seen more dark than light & you want a dark ending for the Bad Batch. You don’t know proper story telling then.
@joleo82198 ай бұрын
I was expecting a dark ending and the sheer happiness and relief that I got from the happy ending was way more than enough to satisfy me. I'm so glad everyone got the end they deserved, they all deserved to be happy and grow old. All the symbolism was absolutely fantastic.
@supremelebowski27128 ай бұрын
I honestly thought it was really good. Sure, some things could have been tweaked. But in this world of Disney Star Wars, this was a bright point overall. I still have zero hope for live action though.
@ArthurCallahan3898 ай бұрын
It wasn’t the exciting, surprising finale that we usually get from Dave, but I thought it was still good. They set up a couple possibilities. What happened at Tantis could be the catalyst that rallies the remaining clones in the Empire to join Rex & have that clone rebellion. They also set up Omega’s rebellion adventures, which both ideas could be done in one show. Omega is a clone & cares deeply about freeing them all. If there’s a clone uprising she’ll be in the middle! I can’t wait for the next series. Regardless of what all the “popular we know Star Wars best” KZbinrs out there say, Star Wars is not dead! Yes, there are several bad shows, but those clowns find reasons to label everything bad! They used to love Filoni, but they’ve gotten so negative that they’ve turned on him & are pushing this Dave is stabbing Favreau in the back BS. It’s the “reputable” ones doing it! To stay on point, Star Wars is not dead, it’s just disabled a bit. As long as Dave Filoni is writing stories, we’ll always get something good to watch!

I’m glad someone said it, I watched a few videos after the finally and people are saying they loved it. Did I miss something? I thought this whole season was underwhelming actually and the best part was seeing Asajj Ventress again, other than that, this whole season was boring.

I think whatever show we get will follow Omega picking up pretty much as soon as she leaves and by the end of the first season she will have The Batch with her but under her command on a mission where we get everything filled in up until hearing about Leia's ship being taken by Vader.

One thing I’ve just thought of is, where’s the shields on the ship when they shoot the engines. Surely it just deflects?

No Rex, Cody, Wolffe, Nothing done with the assassins Nothing with Tech Nothing with Zillo Nothing with Ventress I feel like there was so much more that that was maybe originally planned and meant for this series and it was all cut and this is what we're left with I mean it was good but far below expectations
@Theworldisscrewed8 ай бұрын
Funny that its called the bad batch yet everyone expects cody and rex to be the main characters of the show, ventress appeared once to share info on the empires doings so there was no need to bring her back, the assassins were heavily involved in the finale, they captured hunter, wrecker and crosshair but then later died 1 by 1 to the batch, season 3 was based on omega being rescued and ending the stuff being done to clones on tantiss, honestly the episode did what it should have.

I thank you but I have no doubt that it was Dave who decided "who lives, who dies, who tells their story".
@amymiskiman50868 ай бұрын
@@arctic_haze I don’t know about that even in the clone wars he was never a mean director. He was always the side one to do. Small stuff. People give him too much credit for what he does because half the time he doesn’t do that much he adds small stuff and side characters but that’s about it most of the time.
@arctic_haze8 ай бұрын
@@amymiskiman5086 This is not about credit but logic. If he is working on next series/movies, you cannot kill him a character he needs. So who dies is not dependent on the showrunners of a given series. Not in this Universum. Not to mention episode screenwriters/directors, who nowhere have this power.
@amymiskiman50868 ай бұрын
@@arctic_haze well most of his stuff he makes pretty much sucks apart from just a few series. I mean he worked on. A lot of Askoka show as the main Director and it did not turn out good at all so why I do have a little bit of hope in him I hope he takes more time on what ever he makes to make sure it doesn’t turn out bad like a lot of stuff in the past

It may have been a safe way to do the finale but I'm happy that they didn't kill off any more members. Now we have an opertunity to possibly see some or all of them again during the gap from when they rescued Omega and the point where she was grown. Also too it opens up for a live Action version of Omega.

@RoastymyToasty90018 ай бұрын
Honestly, I cried during the finale. I'm glad they got a happy ending, they deserved it, watching it I even said: "If the Zillo Beast doesn't burst out of the facility and roar like Godzilla I'm gonna be disappointed." And literally 30 seconds later I got what I wanted. Really no one needed to come to the Bad Batch's rescue, they had to get out of that on their own. That was a perfect ending for those characters and opened the door for Omega to do more.

What do you mean it was super dark, they just randomly killed scorch like he was nothing.
