Personally, Origins had the best written story in the franchise by far. Both Bayek and Aya's individual character developments is both touching and emotional. And that ending was perfect, everything about it. Ubisoft missed the perfect chance of doing a sequel for Aya as the main character in Rome.

Do you remember underneath the Auditore villa in monteriggioni, there were several statues of assassins, whose white disks ezio had to find to unlock the armor, Aya/Amunet was one of the assassins statue in that place, so cool of it to come full circle. this is why I love assassins creed so much. It is literally my entire childhood, teenagehood to adulthood.

You should play the Hidden Ones DLC since it acts as the final epilogue for Bayek and Aya's story.

This ending is probably among my favorites in the series, every cutscene from the moment when Bayek and Aya talked for the last time on the beach till the moment where Bayek is reading Amunet’s letter is so good! The moment where Aya picks up the eagle skull and shows the AC logo in the sand always gives me chills!

Caesar’s assassination is made more tragic by the fact he was killed by people he showed mercy to. Brutus was personally pardoned by Caesar himself.

Amunet is born, and Origins ties itself all the way back to the story of Ezio finding the statues raised in the honor of the ancient Pre-Assassins that inspired by the modern Brotherhood. Epic ending.

Thing is that’s weird and is never talked about is how she has two tombs tho the one whereLayla is at and the other one in Italy
@erratic_badger
@erratic_badger 4 ай бұрын
@@rydn_x pretty sure the tombs in AC2 are just symbolic and a convenient resting spot for the villa sanctuary keys. It wouldn't really make much sense for the legendary assassins from across the ancient world to have their bodies moved to those obscure locations in Italy. Although, never saw this confirmed!
@StopReadingMyNameOrElse
@StopReadingMyNameOrElse 4 ай бұрын
@@erratic_badgerI mean the actual reason is this was simply a retcon. Origins was absolutely never planned all the way back then, so it's honestly goofy to pretend like it was all part of the plan. They found a way to fit the piece in and connect back to the original Assassin we saw, even though it wasn't planned that way from the beginning. The other tomb was the actual tomb, until this game retconned and updated that. The secret society of Assassins were implied to have kept the remains of these legendary and ancient assassins out of respect and honor.

Rome is eternal mainly because of Ceasar, he is easily the best known ruler of Rome
@beefi411

Caesars paved the way for the birth of the empire. He was worshiped as a god after his death. Every Roman ruler gives himself the name Caesar. His name became a title of roman rulers. In nearly every language a translated version of Cesar is the title of a ruler. It`s like his name has become a general term for someone who ruled an empire. But yeah, Julius Cesar has absolutely nothing to do with Eternal Rome.

Fun fact, at this point in history the "arena" in Cyrene would still be a Greek theatre and in the shape of a semi-circle. It only became a Roman Ampitheatre and used for Gladiotorial combat around the Second Century AD. In the game's Discovery Tour, they explained they ignored this in favor of allowing the player to do arena matches. A fair reason, as it's my favorite activity in the game lol.

Wow, what an episode it was crazy, there was a lot of emotion from start to finish I was so happy it's true that I had forgotten that there was William❤️😍 and at the same time , when you killed your last target with Bayek and when we saw KHEMU for the last time and it was him who did it with the pen, it was so moving ❤️ and Aya was incredible too, especially with the music of Ezio Family made me want to cry, it was so good. So I can't wait for you to do the DLC, I've never seen it in my life, even tested it because I played the original Assassin's Creed once when it came out and after that I plan to do them on video so for the moment, well, I'm not doing anything and then I can't wait for you to do Odyssey. Honestly, it's so good. The characters are very endearing as an origin, there are lots of emotions, lots of happiness, lots of adventures, it’s crazy stuff❤️😍

Well. There is a controversy regarding amunet's tomb. In AC 2 you recovered the disc from here sarcofagus in venice. We already know that she established the brotherhood in rome. But here it has been shown that her mummy was there with that of bayek in the cave in siwa, where they used to meet as teenagers.

Hey Meg, I wanted to offer my words on the grief you mentioned before, I hope it helps bring light to how to face grief/longing in history The way we study the past while feeling some amounts of grief is by remembering that nothing ends, the legacy the Egyptians and Greeks had in their time were understood for their time, conversions, invasions and prospering times were theirs and they changed when time came for them to. The choice was theirs and not ours, the “loss” however felt is something we have in our own lives, and as we change and criticize parts of our own lives Egyptians criticized and changed theirs It’s good to respect the past, but it’s also important we never forget our own present and how valuable it will be as the futures history

It is a fact that racism was always a big factor in the colonial projects in this region. Colonialists always saw us as backward people and that we don't deserve our own resources. Anyone who denies this fact is just in a bubble of his own making. Just like the idea that "Aliens built the pyramids", which may seem amusing and harmless (It's not), but it also originated from racism (From some people thinking that the people of Egypt are so primitive it's not conceivable to accept that they did something so advanced and durable, so they had to look for other reasons why this thing exists).
