This Engineer/Summoner Build SUPRISED Me In Remnant 2 (EGGineer Build)

A new amulet was added to Remnant 2 with its first DLC and WOW is it good. You can make almost any build have decent damage and defense. So I decided to pair it up with engineer and summoner for a full run of the game. Honestly, the flyers carried me through the dungeons and the impact can has the damage needed to take care of bosses. It's less damage than ranged builds for sure, but it's pretty easy to survive, and you get a dodge with more I-frames. If you want to tank through dungeons this build has you covered.
Remnant 2 is a direct sequel to the Remnant From The Ashes Game that came out a few years ago. It appears to take place further in the future with root corrupting the jungle area almost completely, and Ford being an old man. The game will have 3 player coop with brand new worlds to explore and plenty of weapons to try out. Already we have seen at least 5 massive bosses and items such as a pistol, barrel shotgun, saw blade, and best of all a bow. This game will be coming out sometime in 2023 and it will have branching quest lines, augments, crafting, and plenty of loot rewards. The first game was an absolute blast and this sequel is shaping up to be an excellent addition to the series.

With the new DLC, adapted this build with some improvements and it slaps hard! Far from the greatest build out there but sure is a ton of fun. Engineer/Invoker (Vulcan/Kaeula) Leto Mk2 Set Tranquil Heart (Skill CD, DMG, Duration) Whispering Marble Dried Clay Ring Mechanic's Cog Ring of Ordinance A'taerii Booster It's a pure heavy carry build that never runs out of ammo as long as you have Expertiece, CD fragment, and the CD concoction. If you time your overclock right then you can pretty much never run out of heavy ammo while abusing the op dodge and good dmg/dr. You could swap ENG/INV around to have 100% Infinite ammo without worrying but i found i never ran out of heavy ammo with this set up anyway!

Would suggest swapping out the Kolket Eyelet with the Cog ring. It still gives you that extra bulwark stack, but gives you health regen per stack of bulwark rather than movement speed. Funnily enough I'm running pretty much this exact set-up and it's great.

@@rylancraig7079 As it's a heavy carry build, it doesn't matter what weapons/mods you use but it wouldn't hurt to use Monolith/Nebula at the start before you pull out your heavy weapon! As for traits: Fortify 10, Cifted 10, Vigor 10, Expertise 10, Footwork 10, Fitness 10, Leech 10, Siphoner 10, Recovery remaining points!

Summoner/Engi has been my favorite combo since release. So many ways to build it. I like using Ravagers Mark and the Ring of Omens for misty step. I also use the relic that gives you 20 charges for constant summon heal and turret ammo

Great video. I used this build to defeat Magister Dullan who was otherwise happily one-shotting me with my usual route Root Doctor type build. Still, I am so used to healing in this game with relics that I found it extremely uncomfortable not to be able to take a relic anytime I wanted. I understand that there may be some buffs coming to the engineer archetype and I hope one of them permits some more healing while carrying.

This build has some issues, but I actually run something very similar and have a great deal of fun with it. The main issue is how it goes over the Damage Reduction cap by quite a lot, which means you could easily sacrifice Mechanic's Cog and not lose *any* DR cause it isn't giving any to begin with. I usually replace it with Soul Shard for that extra damage since you get a 12% boost from your three summons which is pretty great. The extra damage also boosts healing which only boosts your survivability. On a final note, I personally don't use Zania, but it's a pretty good choice all things considered. I instead use Seal of the Empress for the extra HP, but that's only cause I wasn't really sure what else could boost my healing and increasing max HP is a decent way to do that.

Unfortunately you are incorrect on the DR. The cap is 80% and this build maxes out at 74.2% with mechanics cog on.

@@SheenShots oh shiz, my math must not be mathing right. Thanks for giving out your numbers! Edit: I usually use the spreadsheet made by Vash Cowai to see what a build looks like before running it. Apparently I forgot to replace Crystalline Heart which is why it was hitting way above the DR cap since it’s supposed to add like, 25% DR. Very silly mistake on my part

I run a similar build, but swap zania's for a'teri booster, summons for lead elixer alch, and the summon ring for burden of the rebel and bank on that passive regen, This is for heavy carry without threat of shooting your minions that ALWAYS get in the way somehow, as well as being less reliant on weakspot hits.

There's a ring gives you 4% of all dmg for every active summon, 12% max. Also you could summon sword and pair it with shield strike melee mutator. I've been using engineer+ summoner the first day the dlc came out. It was so difficult on apocalypse before the patch. Gotten one shot most of the time on day one

I like the idea of that ring, the problem is it is not strong enough for the work you put in.. There's plenty of better options for less work. In my damage testing, alot of weapons work better with burden of the destroyer, or a probability cord etc. It needs to be buffed to atleast 15 percent, or even 20 percent, to deal with alot of the downtime for resummoning.

Are bulwarks better than Damage reduction like from Indignant Fetish Amulet?

Indignant fetish is great, but yes. If you have the means to get 5 bulwark stacks do it. That's 25% DR, compared to indignant fetishes 10. And with dried clay ring, you have the means to supplement 15% more damage in with the tankiness of bulwark stacks.

Hmm I see, Indignant does give DR and damage as well, but Marble + Clay does provides more at the cost of 2 slots. I guess it's just a matter of preferences. Thanks!

Why take blood bond over bark skin? Does the damage absorb not count towards the DR cap/diminishing returns?

Blood bond is very solid the more summons you have. And bark skin starts to become much less useful the more DR you already have. Ultimately I don't think either is worse in this situation, but since we have access to several summons blood bond felt right.

Really enjoy this build. Great job! But for some reason it was making my game crash while I was fighting talratha metaphysical. Swapped the build game stopped crashing... anyone else have this issue or is it just me ?

Yes, if you use impact cannon, it will also crash during the final boss. Turret won't have this issue

Try the flamethrower on bosses w/ no crits. The vulcan is my favorite still

ive landed on nearly the same build but i use the ataerii booster to make the vulcan better overall. i find getting crits with impact cannon too unreliable
