I've beaten this game probably like 20 times, and I had no idea you could get to the Floating Castle from the Castle of Storms. I always just took the section between the Dome and Red Hall. LMAO

New sub, i just got into outward finally since i have the time and am loving it, i got 100 mana early and the stamina upgrade is what i needed so i dont have to pay 500 to the guy in berg for 40 stam, this will equal it out Thanks for the great tips Glad people still play

Weirdly enough, this was exactly what I finished my first blind playthrough with years ago on non-DE version. I didn't have any of the fancy arrows and didn't know jack about what I was doing, but after losing like 7 characters to normal runs, the bow finally carried me through. I remember my struggle early on with bows till I found the recipe for a Coralhorn bow, learned how absolutely broken extreme bleed used to be and after sniping the Royal Manticore off from a distance, running away and hiding for a solid 2 mins, returned to find a dead manticore. Outward has been a permanent install on my system ever since. :')

Trickster is a great opportunity to stock up these grimoires, to release spells here and there (a bunch of Salamander S books are awesome against griffins. And you can draw foes onto the strip of fire)

Hey Sheen, did you ever get to see the new patch the game received? Despite being mostly fixes, it changed some things for the better Shield Charges can now be done while your main weapon is sheathed, Copper Flame Virgin Lanterns now inflict extreme poison instead of normal poison when using Flamethrower, Desert Khopesh now can be enchanted with War Memento and Rainbow Hex, and even Gong Strike's AoE has been increased. I wonder if they'll re-add weapons like the cut Vampiric weapons, like the shield, before Outward 2 drops. It'd definitely make shield builds more unique and self-sustaining for a shield only playthrough than just Mushroom Shield

My biggest tip is Don't pay silver for the blood price. The deed is really simple to get. It requires one bandage and about 5 minutes of travel time. 150 silver starting out is big and most if not all of the exploits have been patched. June 2024 is the date of this post.

I'm here to defend Anguish, while it's not particularly great at any single thing, it's a real jack of all trades, it's a shot with ricocheting slugs, it's a charge bow with explosion, it's a machine gun with exploding bullets, it does everything, put feedback on it and the machine gun (mod) recharges in like 2 charge shots, reload isn't to long and the explosions are great to crowd control. Getting a perfect charge is super easy, getting a great explosion out of it and pro-tip, using the mod automatically reloads anguish. It's a great gun that deserves a higher placement IMO. I'm using it on my 50% HP build and the drain isn't what kills me. It's a pain to get though, but AT LEAST it isn't hot garbage like the poly gun.

I started with challenger medic and I don’t know if this is just me but it got me into the habit of not using relics at all which makes playing without medic very difficult, I’ve slowly gotten out of the habit though

Funnily enough, pretty much all of magick archer's bow shots and bow spells do both physical and magical damage. Living armor? More like dead on arrival.. armor
