That piranha plant at the end might have been there to show the number of people who made it to the end of the DLC, because you can tell how many people reached that piranha plant based on the death location X marks around it. That way you can effectively set a "second goal" by yourself. Absolutely cool gimmick at the very end!

@panerabred64 The blocks in the level have lines coming out of them. You have to imagine the lines as a laser beam that bounces off the walls. You then find where two lines intersect to find the key. Then the way the lines "bounce off" the walls forms the shape of numbers that make up a passcode to finish the level. Essentially it is an escape room in MM.

There's no DLC in any MM level. DLC = DownLoadable Content. Words mean things, use them correctly.

@kliq72 You havs to imagine the lines bouncing off the walls to form the shapes of numbers. Where two of the lines intersect is the key to the door. The numbers make up a passcode of how many POW blocks to hit to be able to reach the goal.
