I wanted to take a peek into a Post- Apocalyptic survival game that has been mentioned to me over and over again. At first I really didn't expect much but I was very surprised by what we had in this Demo!

VEIN is a post-apocalyptic survival multiplayer sandbox game.

Ever since I was very young I have always loved the way deer move, the way they kind of leap and bound with each stride and how graceful they look when they jump a hedge row or fence line. There's a ton of deer where I grew up so whenever I saw one I enjoyed just standing there for a moment and watching them run away. They actually captured that movement quite well, as far as I can tell from that 1 or 2 seconds he was moving across your screen anyway. They could dial it in a bit more but at this stage of development it looked quite nice! It really bothers me when devs make deer run like a damned horse or something lol

The class list kind of reminds me of Project Zomboid. Really the whole searching makes me think that too. I mean, a first/third person PZ would be amazing to me. I might have to try out the demo. It says it is supposed to end up being a multiplayer only game but I hope it can be played offline too.

But tbf, it's the replayability & details are what makes it so good! There's also a massive modding community too if your into that sorta thing 👍

Yeah definitely they got inspired by PZ. Breaking glass, clearing glass, shop alarms, class/skill system, health/first aid, all random inventory stuff you can find etc all scream PZ to me :) And its a good thing they did, PZ is a great game. I just dont like their Zombie models. They look too ... alien to me ? It would be more horrifying if they looked more human.

I always wondered that too! At the moment of the chaos happening is when you are thrown into the game and then as time passes you slowly grow older with the events of the apocalypse. Could be cool!

This reminds me of a 3D version of Zomboid, which is a 2.5D (isometric) version of Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead, (Free 2D turned based). I highly recommend trying either of the above mentioned games. I personally think you would love CDDA. Also, "Chicken Broth, drink it!" Absolute mad lad lamo

That's a noise we hear regularly in the States. It's unnerving. But they always test the sirens on the first Saturday of the month here, and they're always doing "emergency broadcast tests" in the Tele, which is identical to what you heard in game.

This has huge potential if they can get more people on board with funding. Unfortunately all of these kinds of games usually die off because people lose interest or there isn't enough content fast enough. Mist is also an amazing and ambitious game but I'm sure it's going to be in development for multiple more years. Same with 7 days to die. In my opinion the best thing you can do for your game is stay in contact with your players, release consistent updates, respond and implement feedback, and add modding support as soon as possible. Mods will keep your game alive while you take your time to develop it further. Also a lot of the time modders will offer their services or mods to be added to the game which is awesome! This is on my wishlist, along with about 10 others similar haha. I'm getting a new gpu soon so hopefully I'll be able to play all of these early access games at 4k! I have wanted to jump back into DayZ for a long time but I also dont want to do the standard thing where you spawn in find a weapon and then it turns into walking/running sim for the next 8-10 hours. This game is kinda the same as the infected or mist (as in, the concept of the game is the same). I'd love a survival game that has a different theme to it or a storyline (like the forest for eg with the whole "i need to find my kid" thing). The graphics of this game are great, they've obviously put a lot of thought into it, and am sure there's much more yet to come. I hope you'll do a longer series of this once it has more things to offer :)

@@thefoosterchannel i'm in the Mist community you use to build huge bases and barely have bugs. now with the new map and a whole new change to the game people can barely build a base without it lagging. floating objects house a foot off the ground. out house or houses being doubled so you can't get the upgrade bag. join the Fb mist community they can give you a list of bugs they have now compared to the first version of the game. people bought the game when the first version came out then the developer completely changed it.

This game looks excellent, for just an early access demo, I think the graphics are superb! They need to work on the movement of dynamic lighting a little bit, (light cast through windows not smooth) fix a few glitches, but overall, I really like the direction that they are going with this game, and I really hope to see more!

I definitely believe this game has a good amount of potential, and I like what I've seen in this video. 🤩OMG this is AMAZING!!! I wish there were more games like this! Zombie and other💯 This is like the beginnings of a complete player fantasy zombie game! Full open world, everything is interactable. It does obviously have tons of similarities to Project Zomboid, but the aesthetic is so different, you can appreciate both as different games. This is just fantastic!
