Matt remember that abyss game u played. there is a game called “surviving Mars” it’s very similar to that game but it’s based on mars. you start off with drones and other things then once you make survival domes you can bring people into your engineering paradise on mars free from all architects. it’s also got calming music.

RCE i had the worst nightmare in my life so i was driving and saw an checkered fire station then i can to bridge but the bridge was not complete and it was not for driving on then a saw the worst thing any engineer would see a city of reflective glass pointed at an angle which created a LOT o heat then i drive to an road there was a bit of flooding i drove on the water and i fell down with wind rushing in my ear it was the most pain i have ever felt driving in a dream (I am Subscribed)

Dude that game has been over 10 years in the making, I remember getting a games award book when I was 10 and it had that exact character on it, the dude with his mouth open and the punk tattoo on his hand, but that little white android wasn't there originally from what I remember. I also remember there being a beta for this that was like 3 or so years old, and it was super empty. I honestly forgot about this, but that's so cool to see something happen to this.

Storytime with millennial grandma for 9:00 The first option there "do nothing and get eaten" is a callback to a text based adventure game from the late 70s. Zork. How does Zork relate to this? Bcuz it was Zork which first popularised the unknown unseeable enemy in the darkness in video games; using what it called a Grue (based on a creature from Dying Earth, a fantasy book series started in the 50s that finished in 84). Youve no doubt heard of a Grue before in one game or another, and now you know what it is. In Zork, when you move into a dark area without a light on you (eg torch); it gives the catchphrase warning "It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue." And ofc, if you do nothing, you get eaten by a Grue. I love that games like Dont Starve and this one choose to keep the grue alive and well as an enemy to be feared. Its the perfect enemy, an unseeable, unknowable, undefeatable mysterious creature of the darkness that we only ever at most see the glowin eyes that tell us this predator can see in the dark. What cud be scarier than that which lurks in the dark waitin for us? Remember be wary of the dark; lest you be eaten by a Grue.
