As I born and grown up in Kanakapura, I can say it was my childhood place to have dosa. The khali dosa was similar to Dwarka hotel in NR colony in Bangalore but it’s no more available in vasu hotel.The reduchutneyis no the regular one you find in Bangalore hotels

Kripal Sir, after watching your dosa vlogs regularly, my daughter Sarayu, has penned this just for you titled....."THE DOSA"...Imagine this, a fermented batter of rice and lentils spread evenly across a hot pan drizzled with ghee, the crackling hiss as the batter kisses the pan as it sends the ghee drops dancing along on top in sheer joy. Mildly roasting the batter, the ghee gives off a captivating aroma as it slowly slides in between the holes formed by the batter as it cooks. That is when your local dosa Anna slides his steel spatula under the serene, slightly brown dosa and checks how well the batter has cooked. Splashing a few more drops of ghee, he then proceeds to embellish it with the garlic chutney and the aloo masala, whose spices seep in alongside the ghee into the dosa. He finally flips it close and dishes it out alongside a pristine coconut chutney that can send your sweet and spice buds partying with the rich flavours. That old ajji, who smiles proudly as she dishes out some chutney alongside the ghee masala dosa, hands it out, steaming hot. The wisps of steam that emerge with the smell of the masala dosa are only teasers in front of the taste and crispiness of the dosa in your hand. ......Love your vlogs immensely.

I must say that I am in a way obligated to repay you by suggesting one of the best chats place in Bangalore. Ram Bhavan bakery and chaats in Kurubarahalli, near Shankarmutt. If you want to taste ‘The best Bhel Puri’, this is the place you want. Right amount of Tanginess, sweet and heat, it’s a festival to your palates and other good chaats are Aloo Poori and Masala Puri. Please do give it a shot.

My dad was running a hotel started by my grand father in our village in udupi taluk where the shape of masala dose was elongated one as this one. The price was 4 rupees until the hotel was closed down in 2006.

makmal puri is my all time fav sweet. I love that stunning yellow color. Unfortunately it has disappeared in most places. I would visit this place just for this sweet. And, the dosas look xtremely delicious and ready to be devoured.
