She seems to be under elementary school age as well...so you have to shell out the money for childcare for at least a month before you can qualify for assistance OR find an employer who is fine with you bringing your child to work with you. Hopefully, he has a home b/c most shelters won't take a dad and young girl. Hell, most shelters are women's shelters and won't accept men or take male children once they hit 14...at least near me, that's how they are. It's easy to judge until you have to live that life. If I didn't have a least a little support, I would've been screwed tbh.

Sir, if every person who has the money to do what you just did for that family could find it in their heart to do the same thing for people who have nothing. This world would be a much brighter place. My youngest son and I were homeless once. Most people acted like we were invisible or diseased. There were a few Angels like you who helped us. When you give, don't ask what they are using it for, most of them just want to fill their bellies. When you give, give with your heart or don't give at all. You are blessed to give to anyone in need. And you Will be blessed. One never knows when they might be in the same place. At any time! It will make your heart soar to put a smile on their face. Nothing better than that!

I am South African and I can tell you that this is typically how the young (Afrikaans white) kids normally would walk around. So it's not at all weird for Afrikaans white people to walk around barefoot (in the shops etc) Yes, in this instance the family might also not have the means to afford shoes for her but even if they had the means I think the little girl would have probably still been barefoot.
