This FE6 chapter is so easy

First) this is Normal Mode (check Brunnya's HP), so he has no Hard Mode bonuses. Second) Wo Dao and Wrymslayer in FE6 have 2 Might difference, so both Roy and Rutger are tied in strength in 17. Third) Assuming both Roy and Rutger leveled up to 20 before promotion. And with Rutger going 20/20 since he got no EXP. And no Strength booster items were used for any. Roy at level 20/6 (base level: 1): 17 - 5 (base) - 2 (promotion) = 10/24 points of Strength. 24 times 0.4 (Growth Rate) = 9.6 (slightly above average Strength) Rutger at level 20/20 (base level: 4) = 17 - 7 (base) - 2 (promotion) = 8/35 points of Strength. 35 times 0.3(Growth Rate) = 10.5 (below average Strength) So yeah, Rutger got screwed, but his average would be 2-3 points higher not counting bonuses. And Roy was doing pretty fine.

Ah fe6. I love this game enough to have a repro cart with a fan translation. While i quite enjoy this game, i hesitate to call it a great game. It is a very tailored tale, with about as many contentious concepts as fates. Of which i am currently playing Birthright for the first time. I played conquest first and vastly prefer it so far. Liking 6 and 14C means id enjoy Thracia, im sure. Anywho, I'm commenting to ramble for engagement. Cheers!

​​​@@gurucheeks4510 actually looking at their growths and hard mode bonuses, he may be serious. With HM bonuses, Fir can have 10 str +3 promotion strength +25% strength growth. Rutger on the other hand gets 9 str on HM, +2 promotion strength +30% strength growth. As for hit, it's no contest that Rutger destroys Fir in this competition having higher bases and growths in skill.

@@quietuptown78 Ok so, let's get through a few things first. We don't count HMB Stat Rollups as they could change a unit's performance, nor do we count stat roll downs. Rutger joins 6 Chapters earlier with better bases, overall better growths, weapon rank, supports, and base level. This base level is actually quite nice due to being able to promote earlier, and a hero crest comes during the time he'll be around level 11 or so. I prefer to not early promote Rutger, but I'd rather dump the western isles exp into a level 11 or 12 Rutger than I would dump it into a level 1 Fir (she's going to be worse off anyways.) And about Hero Crests, Fir does make an alright candidate for the second one. Unfortunately, the second one is actually quite hard to get during chapters 11a or 11b. However, under the scenario of obtaining it, while Fir's a good candidate, there are still better candidates who've shown up. Right after chapter 12x, we enter a part of the game where lances are much more prevalent, and giving a unit like Ogier, Dieck, or Gonzales axes (or in Gonzales's case, just better stats and the same bonuses as Fir gets) does help them out and may be a better idea than Fir At every single metric, Rutger requires less investment and performs so much better.

Just saying that the first commenter wasn't without reason for thinking that if we're arguing who would have the best stats overall, the argument about is the better unit but who would deal more dmg and hit, which I already answered.

@@flextape467 If you go to serenes forest forums, it will jump out at you in the FE6 section. Infact, outside of prepatched games, the newer patch is actually easier to find than the old one by now.
