Same. I'm an atheist married to Catholic for 30 years. I lean right....she leans left. We love each other, respect one another entirely, she is far and away my best friend on earth, and though we sometimes bicker about some of the trivial things that come part and parcel with a marriage (e.g. the bills, the kids, etc) we completely respect where the other is coming from on the big stuff. The idea that I'd take a break from the people I love over doctrinal differences is, in my opinion, a hallmark and warning sign of a cult e.g. isolation and separation from people outside the cult. Sadly, my sister texted me that she didn't think she could attend Thanksgiving at my husband and our home because of the election result. She was so "distraught." She said quote "I know I said family over politics, but if you and your husband share Trump's values, I need to think hard on this." I just ignored her texts because she kept demanding for me to tell me why I supported and voted for Trump, etc. I told her MONTHS ago that I broke free from the Democrats plantation. She feels like I am a traitor to our sorority, to other Black females, graduates of HBCU's, educators, etc. It truly hurt though because she said things like, "I thought I knew you" and "Did your husband "force" your to vote for Trump (my husband is Hispanic). I told her that I did my own extensive research and made my own decision. I was depressed for a while because I couldn't understand how she could question me like that. After a week of me ignoring her texts, she finally said she would attend Thanksgiving at our home. It's so insidious and evil what the Democratic party has done to people, especially Black women.

The thing is Thaksin was ousted by a coup and he sent in a new party with his daughter as the head. She promised during her campaign that as soon as her party got in power, they would lower gas and electricity prices right away and that everyone would have a decent living. But it's been almost 2 years and electricity unit prices have not been lowered and Diesel prices have actually gone up. The CEO of the largest electricity producer in the country who is one of the richest people in the country too was seen attending a party singing with her dad. And her party just borrowed money to give out to poor people increasing the national debt with no long-lasting positive effects. The lesson is politicians can promise anything. The good thing is people don't blindly admire any politician or party like before social media anymore. They do want results. So we shall see if Trump will deliver what he promised besides deporting immigrants. I'm particularly curious to see how he would lower the "cost of living" (not inflation) for people.
