the judges' standing ovation was in recognition of the efforts the singer did in perfecting the song in their language... it's human nature to be impressed...

Thai judges are not particular in judging in beltings but give emphasis on lyrics and how the singer expresses or singing it with feelings...as i read in other channel...yes he is not really good in singing but becos he deliver it with feelings ...u know pinoys sing with feelings thats why judges were amazed and admire him.....and he won in that weeks episode...
@KAIStyle5252 күн бұрын
The singer is actually good if you consider his techniques, Thai song arrangements are simple but very hard to sing for foreigners. Although he got the pronunciation and intonation of Thai words correctly, the vocal instrument that he used for singing is very Filipino and does not completely match the correct resonance for Thai pronunciation. The Thai language often uses more forward-placed, nasal sounds, giving it that distinct tone. Filipino can have more varied sounds, often resonating from the throat and chest, adding depth to the language. Different linguistic “flavors,” if you will. The judges were impressed by the singer's unique interpretation of the song, incorporating elements like riffs and runs that are commonly found in Filipino songs. This departure from the original Thai version and its traditional singing style showcased the singer's versatility. They were particularly impressed by his flawless pronunciation of Thai words, demonstrating a deep understanding of the language.

3:30 but they haven't heard a filipino sing one of their songs. perhaps that's what excites them? they know about filipino singers being great, but never heard it done in their langauge! maybe the 'mistakes' were perfect in thai 🤣🤣 maybe thai needs to be in that specific note that sounds off in our ears but perfect in theirs? i really have no idea 🤣🤣 6:50 Mori sang korean at that show and made people cry, and KZ sang that chinese song not knowing any chinese as well making them cry :).

Because the Thai language isn't easy. Been living and working here for a little over 5 years and my Thai language skills are still nowhere to be at 10% of literacy haha (also bc I don't study since this language is only useful here). I'd rather focus on my Deutsch or Español 😅😊

Thai language is one of the hardest language to pronounce or to sound due to their ridiculous intonation. One word could change to another totally different meaning just by the intonation. It is a difficult language to learn too. It is also rare to use a mix resonance, like the chest tones. Thai usually uses nasal and head tones that is why when you hear them talk it is very pitchy. It is impressive because he could properly pronounce the words while singing and using a mix resonance.
