What an awesome shop, really makes me miss Japan, love the fish shops there. The variety and quality of the fish, plants, and products at the shops over there is incredible. I asked my local Aquarium shop dealer about fake plants, and he said he sells his share of them. They are good for folks that want a nice looking goldfish tank for their children, but the children don't really know how to take care of a planted tank. He also says that some African Ciclids will destroy most plants, and this would allow more than just hardscape in such a tank.
@RyoWatanabee3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I understand but if that’s the case, I wouldn’t put any fake plants to begin with. It’s just a place for algae to grow on and is quite an eyesore compared to live plants. (That’s just my opinion. Not trying to offend anyone here 😅) For African cichlid tanks, I’d go for a set up that mimics their rift lake habitat. Just sand and rocks. No plants :)
