Snow cone is different than shaved ice. Shaved ice is more finely shaved making it like snow instead of ice. I know it’s confusing. Shaved ice is snow, and snow cones are ice, or slushies.

It’s not the same. Once you have soft fluffy shave ice you won’t want to go back to hard crunchy snow cones.

Hawaiian shave ice is similar to snow cone except, as Mike said, the ice is shaved finer, the syrups are unique to Hawaii as are the toppings... Similar but Different
