I love this whole series. I love what you find, what you make it do, how you push things to work the way you want. :)

Hi Matt! Great review and YES! 12 mpx is the sweet spot... Not owned a Lumix camera, always wanted too.... Thanks for sharing!

I have a Lumix G85 which is a descendent of the GH1 and it's my everyday carry. The little micro43 Lumix cameras are so lightweight and a joy to carry whilst traveling or at events. A fair and honest review. Love to see you doing your part in driving up the stonks on these old forgotten cameras Matt!

Man that G85 is a special camera! I love it as an all purpose carry as its photo and video specs are still darn good. It's so cheap these days too!

I have a GH4 and its an amazing little camera, that makes me torn between that and my Panasonic G9 as what I consider my "best" Micro 43rds body. I was actually really surprised when I got it that I'd like it as much for stills photography as I do. (I bought it for a work project to record a conference as I needed a higher quality camera that could record unlimited video on a Tripod, and I found a GH4 for the same price as what GH3s were going for) Sure it lacks IBIS but it has a Rare Panasonic made M43 sensor (not Sony made like the GH3) which has slightly better ISO noise handling and a different color engine then what the Sony 16/20 mp Micro 43rds sensor has. As much as I love how many bells and whistles the G9 has on it, its really hard for me not to give a nod to the GH4 as well at this point. After watching this I may pick up a GH1 for fun. I have the Sony 12mp MFT sensor in the barebones entry level Olympus PEN EPL-1 but it may be interesting to see what that sensor can do in a higher end model like the GH1.

All great cameras you've mentioned! That g9 is incredible; it has better autofocus than my GH series that's for sure lol Thanks for dropping the knowledge on the GH4 too! I've always been impressed for its video specs, even to today's standards, but I didn't realize it was so special! I might have to try one out now haha
