No one thought about the mythic goldfish and not many people were fishing in later chapters. They only hyped it up when Fortnite Remix came. I seriously hate how Fortnite popularized FOMO and battlepasses which permanently damaged the gaming landscape as a whole and still recovering from. Even now live service slop continues to be shoveled out and players are done and over it, leading to tons of flops that are more or less deserving. While that cannot be applied to all games, big ones like Concord and Saints Row fell apart because of the already saturated and fatigued players deserve to be flops because they were greedy and tried to cash out the remaining communities they had of their money and good will for a quick profit. All of this circles back around how Fortnite monetized its game and attracted fans with collabs which in turn brought them tons of money.

The initial comment is incorrect because all you got was a special victory screen, which could also be seen in the Day of Doom LTM when you won a match as Doom‘s army. I know this is the case because I won a match with the Armor of Doom mythic during my Twitch stream of the 3rd set of story quests in Fortnite chapter 5 season 4 which were Shuri’s Reinvention.
