Nice video. What if the cap above the P13USB is still shorted after the ic is removed? Does that mean the APU/CPU is dead? Thx!

Hi Tyro! No idea actually. It could be, but I would also lift M92 at that point. As you can see, it does have a trace that runs in it. I know the chips are connected, because sometimes a faulty M92 prevents docking. If you lift both, and it still has a short, it could be a CPU issue. But keep in mind that if the USB port is mangled and the pins inside overlap, you would read shorts randomly on the board. Also check that the port is fine, and if you really run out of options, desolder it and clear the pads of bridges after doing so.
