The loss of inocence, friendship, childhood, separation, animal cruelty, empathy...modern Disney does not stand a CHANCE against these classics. This movie hits different, specially as a grown up. This cartoon was one of my late grandfather’s favourite movies ever. I appreciate this scene not only for the obvious reasons of Copper and Todd having each other’s back when it really comes down to it (Todd had just previously put himself between Copper and a pissed off bear, they’re even now haha) - but for its humanizing depiction of the film’s antagonist: Amos, the hunter. That look on his face at the end…no one-dimensional “bad guy” can make you feel what he’s feeling with an expression alone in conjunction with the act of lowering his weapon. This scene is just soooooo loaded (like the gun). He realizes perhaps that he’s been a fool and just about ruined himself in pursuit of something akin to madness. He comes back. I believe he truly comes to his senses here.

I like how in the eyes now have to have extreme detail like an anime while you can easily understand every emotion the guy went through in a single motion
@comictitan45094 ай бұрын
you're so right. A few simple motions of his eyebrows and pupils and his eyes getting wider, and we see him go through so much thought and shift his perspective and actions completely. No extreme detail needed, just body language.

@JengklenTheSecondthey did Saying that there are no longer good movies like there used to be is an exaggerated attachment to nostalgia and hating new things. There are many beautiful movies nowadays.

@JengklenTheSecond ""the movies we see today are lame"" We? Who is "we"? There are several movies,series and cartoons teasing nowedays Some are underrated and others overrated If ALL of them Like ALL Like you are saying are lame just because you saw SOME poorly written movies and deduced that all other new movies are lame just because of those poorly made Then you really have a really bad perception of reality
