@@thebaddestbitch6744 Hi 🥰! so happy that you have found my channel! For sure! you can also increase the ratio of powdered sugar to double the amount of butter and omitting dairy such as cream or milk which sometimes can be added to buttercream.

Now this makes absolute sense! I have very hot hands. When using piping bags to dispense my buttercream, it gets softer and runnier as the bag starts to run out of BC. Making black BC has always been an issue! Too much gel color either stains mouth and teeth or has a horrible bitter flavor! I love black cocoa powder and have used it in the past to create that “Oreo” flavor! Brilliant! Have you tried using the tsp of ProGel and cup of black cocoa powder in your SMBC and/or IMBC? I know I get better results of coloring meringue based BC’s when I use oil based colors. I would love to hear your opinion 🙂

Hi Lisa 🥰! so happy you watched the video and yes you can use the Progel and Cocoa powder for black SMBC and IMBC too! I used to only use Progel before Colour Mill came into the scene and I use it for meringues as you can't use Colour Mill in meringues. Their colours are very vibrant and don't have a bitter taste. They're just harder to find and are more expensive than other gel colours but so worth it as you end up using less product anyway. Does it’s taste strongly of chocolate? I need black buttercream for a citrus flavored cake but am afraid the flavors will clash..
