❌Yes cold water works best IMO. I do this outside with water right out of the hose. Also try making the tray, then hydro-dipping it.👍

@@ClairesCraftyCorner Sure, I thought that since especially Polyethylene resin was difficult to color, without the colors going quite pastel, then hydro-dipping might give it the colors that I was looking for…yes it did…I just give the piece a spray primer coat first, the color primer you use, will depend on the look you’re going for, and of course letting it dry completely before you hydro-dip…good luck.😎

that gold and white I just loved!! i’ve never made a single resin anything lol so I know nothing about it but I am curious is that like a jewelry dish? Could people just put their jewelry in it? What would you use that for? I envision it on a bathroom vanity, but can it get wet?

OK, I watched Never Perfect’s video, she puts a lot more paint in the water. She had the same thing happen with much of the paint sticking to the stirrer when she marbled it. She just wiped it off on the side of the bin. I think you just need to cover the whole surface of the water with the paint. (Try using a blow dryer on low to swirl the paint?) 😊👍🏻 P.S. Yes! I see the elephant! Cool🤗. I love your videos. Thanks to you and NPR for this technique.

I went and watched Never Perfect Resin’s video (and subscribed). She didn’t seem to do a really big swirl like you. I don’t think it needs to be done especially with how you sprayed the pint in the bucket w the last one. I like the gold and white, but the pink and gold is my favorite. I cannot wait to try this. I think putting a really beautiful temporary tattoo over this before you put the topcoat one would be “stunning” and I could probably “obsess” over it…. 😉😂🤣 They are beautiful… I wouldn’t mind a few more videos. The results are spectacular.

You're correct, that last one turned out gorgeous and, yes, I do see the elephant. 😁👍 Huh... I think you need at least two colors to properly call it marbling which might be why you don't like the first one as much. Yes, it ends up as two colors in the end but the others technically have three colors in the end and, for some reason, three's in decor items are more soothing to the eye. 😅 I'm actually curious on if you've tried turning the mold inside-out to hydro dip it? It might coat the interior more evenly doing it that way. I think so at least. 🤔 The only issue is when to flip it back. Wet, semi-dry or fully dry? There's risks with each. You've got three tray molds though, wanna experiment? 😉
@rebeccasmith2398 ай бұрын
I haven't done this technique but I do it for nails and that I use room temperature distilled water. Maybe try room temp instead of warm?
@Leena798 ай бұрын
These are superb. I'm a little worried, because I have a bad habit of buying spraypaints and painting a whole bunch of things with it. Seeing these is not helping any. They are so beautiful! I see the elephant, but I also saw a dancing lady in gold on the same tray, and a poodle with a golden nose on the pink and gold tray (left side on the video). It's been a while since I did anything with watermarbling, but I think using cold water makes sense. The paint isn't water soluble, but in warm water, the heat speeds up the evaporation and drying of the paint, turning it into a film, which then sticks onto the skewer. In cold water, the drying time is longer, so you might have a longer time to manipulate the paint. I'm going on a weekend course on acrylic pouring, and I just started thinking, would it be possible to use that on eco resin...
@IceQueen968 ай бұрын

Im too impatient for sunshine and paper towels! Can you use hair dryer, or low heat gun to dry water? Also, you could paint vein lines on the trays before pouring a top coat, to emphasize “marble” look.
@mustangsally52108 ай бұрын
Absolutely beautiful 😍. I’ve never tried this so can’t comment from experience but, if it’s not temperature related, is there any chance the spray paints reacted with the hardness of the water? What is certain is you’ve created stunning pieces 😍
