A spoofy game that's competently designed as far as the gameplay goes is more than fair at $30, but I definitely agree that $60 is too high an asking price for what feels like one of those, "the studio wasn't under the usual restrictions so they went nuts" kinds of vibes.

It's funny... I still haven't played this, but I saw a couple of pretty negative reviews of it... But I still added it to my "to buy" list because even though the reviews were negative, it looked like a good time. I love absurdity though. If you're familiar with the Japanese term "Kusoge" it really reminds me of that kind of game, and I tend to "enjoy" those. In fact, it comes off as being intentionally kusoge

Love this game 🎮. If you loved ninja gaiden & Deadly Premonition then this is its baby 🔥 lol loved the combat & finishers along with the absurdity of the story & cutscenes.. no doubt this is a cult classic hit. Thanks for the review

Fair enough for sure- it’s janky and lacks some modern QOL. Personally I found it rough the first level but really grew to enjoy it especially in the back half when the skill tree is fleshed out and the enemy swarms have grown bigger.

I get that, but for me the combat ended up really clicking with me as I progressed.
