Fun fact: while KinitoPet is based on the overall concept of virtual pets and assistants, the direct inspiration comes from BonziBuddy, a purple monkey assistant that later turned out to be a virus that stole information from your system. The inspiration is most obvious with the design of the KinitoPet download page, which is a direct copy of that of Bonzi, along with using the same TTS voice model. Bonzi became a bit of a meme after being featured in Windows destruction videos by Vargskelethor, AKA Joel from Vinesauce. I'm genuinely surprised it took until now for anyone to run with this concept for a horror game, because jumpscares aside this game does an amazing job showcasing the potential.

Fun lil fact - if you type your favourite game properly (so if you'd have typed Five Nights at Freddy's fully instead of just FNAF) the monitor at 1:08:22 would have displayed the game you gave (the icon of the game on Steam, so it would have showed a pic of Freddy). It's so easy to use my 65 year old father in law can use it and he has Parkinson's disease but powerful enough that it does everything I want flawlessly. It just works all the time. No annoying updates, no spyware, no candy crush automatically installed by Microsoft. It's MY computer. If you're really curious you can install Linux on a flash drive, plug it in, and give it a test drive. Don't like it? Unplug the flash drive. 99.9% of all distros are free. Mess around and find one you like. Then feel free to make it truly "your machine." I would recommend Linux Mint or Ubuntu. I would stay far away from an arch based distro like Manjaro, PoP OS, or Arch, especially if you're just dipping your toe into the Linux pond. Give it a shot and free yourself from the rules of Kinito and Microsoft. Come to the DARK SIDE

What an absolutely FANTASTIC game. This concept is so cool to me, and the way it was executed here was phenomenal. It's crazy how REAL it felt, y'know? And the way it interacted with your ACTUAL PC was so cool. It reminded me of Doki Doki Literature Club (one of my favorite horror games ever). I think this game actually did it a bit BETTER too. And clearly, there's a lot more beneath the surface that we haven't seen yet. Anyways, man, what a gem of a game. I'm glad I watched your playthrough too. You made it so engaging and fun imo.
