"It's a crucial part of the plot that you can just skip" but I hate that kind of thing. If it didn't go away or the game didn't let me progress until I saw it then that would be better than switching to cut scene mode. Also I just realized I've never actually played the game that lets you skip stuff like that, but I know I hate missing important stuff. It ends up making me spend 4 hours in a single BioShock level, a game that's supposed to take like 15 hours to play through. I don't wanna miss it or accidentally sequence break. But on the other hand I probably don't want it to take control away from me either. They COULD have audio from a companion that tells you it's important, like somebody talking to me while I can still walk around that says "hey you need to see this." And I never understood the point of cutting switching to letter box, though I guess it's helpful to know when there's a cut scene versus when you can get out of the way and not die.

I personally really enjoyed the new one, but I will say that it specifically filled a niche that I found only one other game acheived...and that was more than 4 player local multiplayer. I would say if you just want to play Strikers locally with more than 4 people, this is the game to get. If you are looking for online, it sounds like it is not that great. I think it's personally a little better than the Wii Strikers game to play (that one just felt a bit odd with how you do the "ultimate/stirkers" killshots, since you could do so many of them). But I get the complaints!

Not even 30 seconds in and this is already hitting my feels, grew up watching my parents play Metroid Prime, Twilight Princess and a little later on gems like Bioshock and Infamous. I remember taking my dad's iPod to school for the first time, looking through his 100's of artists on there and randomly choosing the band that I thought had the coolest name, which turned out to be Rage Against the Machine. I remember coming home from work and playing this late at night back in 2002. It was the first Metroid game that I played and it was most certainly an experience. They made platforming work in first person. That wasn't common at the time. The menu music is one of my favorite tunes. This and OoT are two video game milestones.

I play prime trilogy so IDK if you can enable this setting on OG prime 3, but I play on advanced sensitivity with camera snap enabled. it makes lock on work like gamecube lock on, and is much easier to aim. feels pretty good to.

Metroid Prime was the first game I ever completed. It's atmosphere always stood out for me. From not understanding a single word that I was reading (due to being an 8 year old non native english speaker) and just simply blasting my way through to actually taking the time to read every log or computer entry and understanding whatever happened to the people living in Tallon IV is one of the greatest things i've ever done in gaming. The Prime trilogy will always be in my top 10 games of all time

Thanks for the kind words. Honestly.... I'm a bit split on dread. I emulated it because I'm never giving Nintendo money again, and while I love to see them give attention to the franchise I can't but feel that the map design of teleporters and the countless "points of no return" were insanely annoying. So many times I was stoked to ACTUALLY explore the place only to be forced to warp to all these rando places. I never felt like I was finding shit on my own, and could barely back track to items I wanted to get, even after getting the ability to collect them. The music was also total garbage. Just completely phoned in which is heartbreaking to see from a series that had arguably one of the best soundtracks in it. It's a fun game no doubt, but it feels like a surface level mocktroid as opposed what made the franchise so solid to begin with. Idk. What do you think about it?

I went out of my way to consciously go to this video on my phone to write this reply and vote it up. Its SICKENING how someone who makes Seriously The Most Well Produced youtube videos Ive ever seen(outside of high budget amateur-movies). Not a joke, this comes from and Even older And way more jaded 36(turns 37 this year) old gamer. I’ve seen some commenters attack you on your opinions, (like the Cyberpunk video) but they seem to fail to realize that it’s just that - an opinion. You’re not making these videos to shove your ideals down your viewers throats, you’re just trying to get your point across in an entertaining way.
