Justice for Remington. We had a blast with this one, strongly urge you guys to check out the demo if you like cosy adventure/building games! Let us know if you’d like to see a full series when it drops later this year!

Thank you for checking out Aloft! ✨ Ps: we replaced stamina with momentum in the last update, momentum can be charged up and used for various purposes, it is indeed represented by the white bars below your health meter. And dropped animals are _supposed_ to respawn on the island 😅

As someone who's been playing Aloft for quite a while now, it's such a joy to watch you discover this awesome game and marvelling at the exact same things I did when I first saw their new starting island (it used to be different before this current demo verion).

Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed! Seems like a really promising game, we’re excited for it to release. :)

Living in the sky, and every floating isle being different reminds me Mario Galaxy, i loved that game so much, it was cool to travel between little planets. As long this game goes up, im sure it will be funny to play.

They are selling you a game they already made and cancelled and screwed their entire customer base away. I would avoid this at all costs!

Wait, which game was that? If you're talking about Worlds Adrift (an MMO set on sky islands with sky ships), Aloft seems to be made by different people, and aside from the sky island theme the style of game seems quite different too.
@Pratfallofficial28 күн бұрын
No, you’re thinking of Lost Skies. Similar, but different game and developer.
@rob-rendell28 күн бұрын
If I have things right, a company called Bossa Studios developed an MMO called Worlds Adrift, and went into Early Access and sold it to players, but the insane server costs of running an MMO made them decide to pull the plug on Worlds Adrift, which left some (most?) of their early adopters feeling burned. Having learned the hard lessons about MMOs, Bossa Studios took the concept and some of the assets of WA to develop Lost Skies - similar gameplay as WA, but self-hosted by players in small multiplayer servers, like a lot of multiplayer games these days. Some folks are willing to give them the benefit of the doubt about Lost Skies, and some have lost trust with Bossa after Worlds Adrift. But Aloft is made by Funcom, which is, as said, an entirely different bunch of folks who have come up with a similar concept (sky islands and gliders with a bit of a Studio Ghibli vibe). And Aloft seems to be further along than Lost Skies. So, if you're unhappy with Bossa Studios, you should support Aloft, since it's kind of in direct competition with Lost Skies! 😁 But hopefully Bossa Studios are not scam artists, and just games developers who bit off more than they could chew and fumbled the dismount, and we might end up with several games in the sky-islands-and-gliders genre.

If I have things right, a company called Bossa Studios made an MMO called Worlds Adrift, which went into Early Access on Steam for several years. However, the insane costs of running an MMO made Bossa decide to pull the plug on Worlds Adrift in 2019, leaving some (most?) of their early adopters feeling burned. Bossa Studios then took the concept and some of the assets of Worlds Adrift to begin development of Lost Skies - a similar game, but instead of being an MMO, its multiplayer is hosted locally by players in small servers, like a lot of multiplayer games these days. Some folks are willing to give Bossa Studios the benefit of the doubt with Lost Skies, and others have lost trust with them after the shutting down of Worlds Adrift. In contrast, Aloft is made by Astrolabe Interactive, who, as said, are a completely different group of people who have come up with a similar concept, a game with sky islands and gliders and a bit of a Studio Ghibli vibe. And Aloft seems to be further along than Lost Skies. So, if you're unhappy with Bossa Studios, you should support Aloft, since it's kind of in direct competition with Lost Skies! 😁 But hopefully, Bossa Studios are not actually scam artists, and are instead just a group of game developers who bit off more than they could chew and fumbled the dismount, and we'll eventually end up with several games in the sky-islands-and-gliders genre.
