The sad thing is, it wasn't always like this. A few years ago back when the game was unpolish and had little UI, the game was the embodiment of chaotic mayhem. This was before matches could end, so every time the Axis got pushed to the stronghold it would become an absolute mess of support spam from both sides. It was fun.

Ok I understand your argument but I think when they meant “skill-based”, they were talking about during combat: All of the disasters and weapons (RPG + Tommy gun) you can buy after are annoyances, but are one time use. Yes, I understand the Tommy gun has a 3 mags, and I understand you get like 4 shots with the rpg but at the end of the day, if you can either kill them or make them waste their bullets, it’s gone. And with disasters, I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone realistically spam something like nuke or black hole just to get kills. Because otherwise, people usually just leave. Maybe with missile shower but usually anybody who does that gets spam reported, targeted or everybody just leaves. For 2 hit-weapons, while I do agree with your sentiment on how annoying they are and pretty much how op they are on paper with it being basically just a confirmed kill with Kunai, I do not think removing the weapon would make it any better. Besides, yes you can buy/roll and get the weapon and swing it like a maniac, but once people realize all you do is that, what’s gonna stop even a guy with a Bo staff parrying the hell out of you? I’m not saying you must use it and it’s the solution to all your problems but Parry is there to level the playing field. It’s broken and hard to use, but free. D-Day however has game passes that affect combat permanently. If any of the game passes mentioned that appeared in the video all can be used in succession, without cooldown. The bazooka is basically the RPG from combat warriors, but the problem with the bazooka in D-Day and why it’s a lot worse there is because in D-day, there are infinite ammo. RPG has a 4 shot limit so you have to use it carefully, even so the blast radius I’m pretty sure is as much as a grenade. But with Bazooka? Oh it has all the ammo you need, you see that single infantry guy shooting at you? Just blast them. Yes, you could maybe help your team and shoot it at the advancing enemy but nah, there’s one guy shooting at you that you can kill easily. Besides you have inf ammo anyways, reload after and kill them later. And the classes, well are like the gadgets and weapons you could use in combat warriors. Except since D-Day is a game with preset load outs (excluding say the gamepass weapons), you’re only limited to 2-3 weapon selections. So while you can mix and match how you want to fight in CW, you’ve only got 5 loadouts to choose from in D-Day. The other 7? Give massive advantages that they can use over you all the time. Without penalty. While you have to decide whether you want to take an smg and go close quarters or go from afar and take a rifle, little Timmy with his mum’s credit card can buy the gamepass that just gives both of them, making any thought of how you wanna play just redundant. I do not want to discredit your own argument though. I do believe the game is maybe a little too much sprinkled with things to buy (bundles, spin wheel which I can understand p2w sentiment with the gamepasses for that), I do not believe, however, that the game is blatantly pay 2 win, unlike D-Day for the comparison. If there’s anything wrong with my argument, feel free to point them out.

oh, CW k its Not p2w exactly, its more so gambling, Black holes, Missles and Tommys are all paid or gambled which is P2W in which, yeah scummy but then again most weapons in CW is horridly broken and they get teamed, tarheted and teamed on, Rocket Launcher is by crates u find, 3 shot weapons and 2 shots are so u learnt to pearn and yes I even hate sometimes how quick u die but I would like to state this P A R R Y, D O D G E. as a person who ground the game for literal hours and got everything in the Loadout shop, oh, I am SOOOOOO damn glad I stopped playing Combat Warriors. even IF you grind for all the super-powerful weapons legitimately, which I made the mistake of doing, even IF there's no one in the server with a tommy gun or RPG, or spamming nukes and airstrikes, and even IF someone doesn't instantly end the round with a black hole, it's still super unfun to play because of all the toxic players and the game's core gameplay practically forcing you to play sweaty to even get anywhere, which leads to getting super worked up and raging. the other dudes in this reply section can say "skill issue" and "parry and dodge" all they like, even if it really _isn't_ pay to win, *_it still isn't a fun game_* , and that objectively still makes the game bad, because the whole point of a game is to have fun.

Other than the body armor. I feel like they could slightly fix the p2w issue by making everything unlock from leveling up since it doesnt do anything right now other than a name change. You can buy the game pass the fasttrack your way to the gun you want, but other players can level up to get them as well without having to pay money to get them. There could be a level cap and players that reach it unlock the bazooka and maybe the armor.

Still P2W because new player exist and the paid new player still have that +25% survivalability advantage with no downside. In addition, this make the XP boost micro-transaction which is previously for cosmestic purpose only is now P2W because paid player have less effort to put into the game to get those +25 HP while player that don't, they have to spend more time and effort to gain that advantage. And this make the game unbegineerfriendly as new player is obviously have disadvantage against exprienced player and adding a +25 HP to the exprienced player only make it more unfair, especially if the new player is assigned into your team and you litteraly can't control it.

Do you really expect a level 1 should have equal strength against a level 100 in an MMO? Its just progression skipping and it is fine under normal circumstance. Unfortunately in a lot of games the grinding up process is designed in such way that beginners that is not paying is heavily constrained by timegates and being unable to catch those who are paying.

Thanks for making such a well articulated video. I used to embrace the p2w passes but now I can't stand them. It's especially annoying that it's impossible to toggle +25hp pass as I honestly want to play more fair. oh and on top of that I think it was a real cash grab when they decided to monetize killstreaks when they came out. If they had monetized it, I would have expected only the cumulative xp bonus to be part of it and not the menu stat itself, but no, they decided to add it as part of a seperate pass :/

fun fact the time that gets added after you take a flag is not set to a predetermined amount and adds time based off how low the timer is, I've had it where as axis defending the beach flag we lose it with 3 seconds left on the timer and the timer gets set to 20 minutes, and this is not the worse of it all, if the attacking team takes Mutiple flags in quick succession the time can go to 40+ minutes which has happened to me before while I was defending but when it happened we get pushed back to the last flag and were suppose to defend that for 40 minutes, there's no set limit on how high the timer can go it just depends how fast the attacking team can take flags

Play entrenched instead, It's a WWI Game with every single class unlocked, except the officer which you can unlock by being rank 5, the only gamepass that affects gameplay is the decoy head, meant to counter the sharpshooter class, but i don't think it's useful when the enemy sniper is just picking off your entire team. ikr, I have 2 games that are even more of pay 2 win; City-17 (RPG costs 1999 robux, boost to 01 Ground Unit costs 1999 robux too, SMG costs 599 robux, pistol costs 299 robux, armor costs was it 399 or 599 robux, Etc.) and City-8 (every class can be bought via gamepass, or grinded for via contracts, kills, and so on. you can even turn the in-game currency into trophies that allow you to unlock classes.) by far the dominant classes I see in City 8 are: Wallhammer (CMB), GRID (CMB), ET (Reb), Conscript (Reb), Ranger (CMB), and so on.

I remember playing years ago, the time I was playing was so old that basically the camera wasn’t in a fixed position and that you just had to press your finger on where the enemy was to shoot, and there was a section where the bridge had a road on the left side that lead straight to the beach.

Another thing about D-Day is that 99% of the time the game is tipped on the Allies side, their guns are better, they have the paratrooper, the time is always reset after a flag capture, and you can't even get it back! I have NEVER seen an Axis win in my time playing this game, which is the exact reason why I quit. Edit: I also have a REALLY cool WW1 trench game you should try; it's called "Centaura" It has lore, and it is INSANELY detailed, there is 0 p2w and is not tipped on anyone's side. You should try it out!

One of my favorite games from when i still played roblox frequently was stop it slender 2. Tried it a few days ago and i quickly noticed how i performed way worse in every one of the 3 roles. Then i found out that the game has a lot perks you can buy with robux and you get the idea by now. Honestly id prefer a version of the game thats just the base skills for everyone, no paywalled powerups.

I remember playing D-Day quite a bit during the pandemic (especially when Morbius released funnily enough). While the gamepasses made the game unbalanced, you'd still be able to win on skills alone as you'd improve overtime. However, after a while, the player count lowered drastically and most of the active players started having gamepasses, which made the game hell to play in F2P. Pretty sad stuff :(

I’m a p2w but I mostly use medic or flamethrower, but they should definitely rework the bazooka and add a way to detect sharpshooter like a glare on the scope, because if a sniper finds a well hidden area they can get tons of kills making it extremely hard to move forward

I definitely agree with you on the sharpshooter thing. Earlier today, I was in a match and to our dismay, half of the Americans were sharpshooters sniping us from across the bridge where we couldn’t even get a shot at them without 4 of us getting our heads blown off. A glare effect would most definitely turn the tables.

They could make it so that for paratroopers to deploy they have to wait for a certain time (1 minute or 1 minute and 30 seconds maybe) before paratrooper deployment takes place. And they could probably remove a lot of the payment walls to access the classes.

I remember playing around 2019-2021, I was one of the many people who spent robux on the bazooka and the paratrooper class, before you were able to combine paratrooper and the bazooka to become an air striker (not an actual class, but a name I’ve given the tactic), so when you would spawn from the plane, you could whip out the bazooka and aim in the place where a large group of people were to, and when you mentioned that the bazooka could insta kill someone, this would prove an advantage. Unfortunately this was patched around 2021-2022, after that I was only getting sniped by sharpshooters.

I play this game and I definitely agree it's P2W, but the effect it has on the game is a bit of a variable. If you have one, two, maybe three people with the gamepasses, the overall impact it has on the game is generally negligible. It's when a team has a high amount of these gamepass owners is when the P2W issue especially rears its head. When you have a team that effectively only consists of straight upgrades compared to the other, it's unfair and there's no arguing against that. However, I do think that defeating P2W players is inherently impossible, and still can be done even if it is objectively unfair. Bazooka is still objectively unfair though, without a doubt about it. The amount of 1v1's I've cheesed with it is insane

I've never played this game, but here's my take from what ive seen in this video: For the bazooka, the devs need to add a 5 second ready time, maybe longer, before it can fire , in order to reduce 1 v 1 cheeses. Maybe add a significant accuracy penalty for firing while moving. Maybe tack on a 1-2 second aiming time where you are immobile before firing. To counteract the penalties, maybe add an increased radius to encourage attacking charging groups of enemies rather than individuals. Basically make it a little more powerful but make it require actual thought before using. Body armor: replace +25 health with -25% damage on body hit. Effectively the same thing except it removes the tanking of headshots.

Grenades: at least one of the free classes should be able to carry a grenade by default for flushing out enemies. If people want to pay for them, give other classes a grenade, and give that class 2-3 grenades. A bit overpowered, but grenades are easier to avoid than rockets. Paratroopers: force Paratroopers to parachute all the way down to the ground, with death being the penalty for cutting free early. Also add a delay before players can spawn from the plane, somewhere between 25% to 50% of the first objective timer. Parachuting in should not be a free ticket behind enemy lines, it should be high risk, high reward, leaving you as a sitting duck until you hit the ground.

Vests block 15% of damage, While ballistic shields block 100% of the damage, but restrains you from using anything but a sidearm while holding the shield. You can also flank a officer that is using the shield to kill them easier. 700+ robux.) FD Special Operations (HAZMAT Neutralizer, New Truck, Class B and Class A Hazmat suits, Tech Rescue Suit, Safety Rope, Etc.), Permanent scanner (exactly what it says; A scanner that you can use for detecting nearby police units and listening in on their conversations, resets after 2 minute cooldown on each use.) City-17 (RPG for CMB and Rebs, Costs 1999 robux and sometimes doesn't guarantee a kill. Armor for 399 or 599 (cant remember), Mostly helps Rebs and CPs. Nah try Centaura it's all free and it's more smoother but if you don't like too much gore and loudness or fiction history entrenched is better as there's not so much P2W stuff the only stuff that's P2W is the armor and shield which isn't really good once I experienced it and no one uses it anyway + all classes are free but the Officer class can only be unlocked when your Rank 5 but it's kinda easy to rank up anyway

This situation is similar to minecraft server hosters, the only way to have some kind of revenue and keep going is p2w in some way. When you don't earn enough or none at all it would be: With minecraft it would be, unable to pay for server hosting and in roblox it would be, losing relevence to roblox and ranking lower in search results. A way to balance this while still generating income is to make microtransaction upgrades "Pay for Advantage", where Body Armor adds 15% more health and not 25 (still great but now one-shottable), explosive damage is reduced to just over insta-kill, basooka is locked to most classes and is limited to 3 shots, mortar is louder and has a smaller explosive radius AND must be placed down like an actual mortar in exchange for more range for balancing, explosive damage is much weaker the further the target is from the center, and finally, the class abilities are locked to their respective classes and maps have scarce anti-air guns the defenders can use to shoot Paratroopers out of the sky easily. These 'gamepasses' are still overpowered.

Oh yea I was one the few people who had the Vet badge on my old main before it got destroyed, it is heavily p2w and a sweat fest game there use to even be a discord of all the sweats + a couple exploiters who somehow most in there couldn’t tell were exploiters despite literally two the mods being in there? Game is just a p2w sweatfest, hell the og map the meta around the final axis flag is to go engineer and spam shotgun, grenade, and bazooka over and over to rack insane amounts of kills. Haven’t played it since Roblox wiped my old account but I have seen there are even more new gamepasses which I’m sure are op. Edit: also the emote gamepass you could use it to speed around while crouched which allowed someone to very much cheese peek cover while crouched and moving around fast to make it harder to be shot while having better aim. Not sure if this has changed at all but yea…
