I used to have every achievement, but the game's clear (the more you play, the more obvious it is) lack of polish just became too much to care to bother with, after a while. EDIT: lol within ~4 minutes he gets a redundant second stack of an item (Insurance Card). Reminds me of the fact that the item that makes you get 3 of the next thing you pick up was in the game since the very first Early Access release, for years before the devs actually added stacking behavior to more than 1 or 2 items, and still, there are dozens of items that don't stack in any way, while the game apparently makes no effort to even reduce the chance that a spawned item is one you already have. So glad I ditched this game, lol

A friend bought it for me as a joke and we grabbed some drinks and played it. I got into the gameplay and I have enjoyed it immensely. Slowly learning how to beat floors and bosses, learning how each item works, finally beating my first run; this game is loaded with good ideas, even if some things feel a little unfair. I place it firmly in my top three Rouge-likes.

You can kill chunks if you just walk in circles and dodge him. He gives you a bunch of money on kill so it's always worth it Edit: chunks changed his attacks so now it's harder to kill him

This lil insight into the game video is so neat considering I only got the game 2 days ago, despite having known about and watched it for a long time beforehand, and enjoy it more than anything as of right now. Also, a bittersweet feeling that you didn't make it to Balcony Cordelia, because the big natural "gameplay" from that section would turn the comments into a whole different beast, both understandably and respectfully, to be fair

Very positive over Overwhelmingly Positive due to the fact that, this game is not nice to new players with how cheap it can be and how unfair the game generally is because of instant sneak attacks, the camera angle making it hard to see or properly dodge, the unkillable boss spawning when the player takes too long on a floor and the overall lack of guidance towards unlocking characters and what certain interactable objects do. These things will deter newer players from sticking around and will make them quickly lose interest. It's one of the reasons why I personally haven't been too motivated or driven to play the game more often than I do. Let's not ignore the fact that the majority of positive Steam reviews are related to the "Big titty goth mommy" in her various looks and outfits depending on the role she has to play for the player, or the endlessly generic, nonsensical and sarcastic positive reviews that aren't meant to be taken seriously, but are contributed to the rating.

Chunks isn't unkillable, he's quite easy to kill. Some enemy spawns can be a little bs (where they spawn directly on top of you) but it's most certainly not all the time. It's certainly not unfair and there's difficulty choices if you think the game is too difficult. Health drops frequently enough and you get 1 (up to 2 on odd floors) ambrosias to purchase. As for the character unlocks it's intended for it to not be super clear (afaik) and most are just basic things (12 health, finding a room in lab, looking at a poster in a special elevator floor, etc.) Seeing newer players complain about these things dishearten me but it's mainly because there's a lack of actually informational content about this game for people that do need help. Hopefully you do pick up the game again and give it another shot though. (try Too Young To Die for your first runs back, absolutely no shame since the game is difficult to learn initially)
