Juice Galaxy is a completely free game on steam, its this strange and wonderful action rpg/souls like. I really couldn't tell you what the lore is, but i can tell you the game was able to consistently surprise me. It colorful, its funny, and i think its better than Dark Souls 2 (sorry not sorry).
