Select Arcaea pack where you'll find playable songs. [Clarification section] tl;dr: This video is not an entirely accurate depiction of how new players see Arcaea for the first time. Please be advised. I know I made this as a shitpost but after seeing all of your comments, I realized that there could be some things that I didn't pay attention to while making this. My thoughts while seeing those 1 star reviews (and eventually when making the video) is that it felt like they didn't really play through the game, like they just touched it for a few minutes and concluded that the game is bad because you have to "pay for everything", hence the instructions at the end. I set the game to load Memory Archive when I screen recorded the stuff because that's what I remembered seeing when I first started playing. But then, that was back in 2019. With people asking if that's how the game actually loads on a fresh install, I decided to actually go install it on a different device (my other phone) and see things for myself. * *Upon pressing Music Play, the pack select appears first, and the free pack (Arcaea) is already visible on the screen* . My mistake is that I thought players are already directed to a specific pack upon going to Music Play for the first time, and while I'm not sure if that's the case when I started, right now, it's not. However though, people could still make the mistake of pressing the leftmost pack (Memory Archive) first, thus seeing the paid songs first. After that, upon choosing a pack from the pack select screen, *the game teaches you how to go back to the pack select screen again, and to also navigate through the song selection* . That's another thing that I didn't know existed, and I don't know if they changed it some time after I first started, or it's already a thing before and I just forgot. Now what's the point of me writing this? I realized that I didn't take into account how certain things work *now* in the game, and instead I went off from what I remember. Due to that, for the longest time I thought the game doesn't clearly show where new players should go, when right now it's not really that bad. This video may be made as a joke, and the points in it still stand, but after going through the fresh install today, I realized that this video could cause other people to be misinformed of how this certain part of the game works. I can't bear being the bearer of misinformation, and I feel kinda bad for what I did. I'm not taking this video down or anything tho, don't worry. I just feel like things should be cleared up for everyone's sake. I'm sorry if this seems like ruining the joke but I just can't stand being wrong and that other people might believe this narrative because of me. I have learned my mistakes and I will strive harder to improve how I deliver my content. Thank you for listening.

Also, I wanna play whatever song I want, the songs are kinda trash too, arcaea is a hard game to play bc of the horrible hitboxes too.. i mean lowiro has to pay everyone to get a song in the arcaea pack, they have to make money too, they are a commercial game for god's sake, and with the NEW BEGINNER MISSIONS you can already get a free song in the Memory Archive, and for EVERY NEW YEAR they give 100 memories too. F2Ps already have enough to play the game, they just have to stick around longer, but they just can't do that.

The game gifts you 100 mems on January 1st, and there are also events throughout the year, so I guess you could unlock several pay-to-play songs pretty quickly. I actually managed to unlock a song pack without spending a single dollar. As a f2p player, I'd say the game has already given players enough stuff for you to enjoy the game.

Yeahh , as a f2p , I think the free songs are really good ( Kanagawa Cyber Culvert and San Skia ) , there are currently around 53 free songs , lowiro gives away 100 memories each year and we even got the possibility to chose between a side story pack for free , and the icing on the top, there are no ads ! So , yeah I don’t know why there are people complaining about the Arcaea song system , it’s really generous for a free game ( sorry for my bad English)

why is everybody saying songs are cheap?? I've played like 3 days, still really fucking bad with UI and i don't fucking understand how to unlock even some of tye f2p songs because when you click on them they just invite you to buy memories... and also that's probably specifically because of my country, but a pack of 510 costs 5 dollars... 5 dollars for a song... if you click music play then the arcaea chapter (unless you are in it right now) you have around 10-11 songs already unlocked, oh you want more? make an account and use your tairitsu, grind for a world mode map for more songs, choose songs that have a stamina 1 sign at the bottom because you can progress faster the more stamina you spend, if you are starting out i recommend grinding in chapter 1 also i think you misunderstand, you get 5 songs for 5 dollars, not to mention, all packs have a max value of 500 memories (except world extend but you can get that for free if you grind hard enough) and some packs have 6, maybe even 7 songs! not to mention, some packs also give you crazy effects alongside the 5 songs (like esoteric order and the main story packs, not including eternal core and adverse prelude). NOT TO MENTION, there's a freaking story for the side story and main story packs AND if you wait until new year they will ALWAYS give you 100 memories which is enough for a song in memory archive, and if you buy the right song YOU CAN GET A PARTNER IN WORLD MODE OR EVEN A STORY. ANDDDD IN EVERY ANNIVERSARY they will DISCOUNT MANY SONGS so some packs now cost 50% OFF, and many memory archive songs are now HALF the price so for a dollar you can get TWO SONGS INSTEAD OF ONE. it seems like you don't have your own money so you think a dollar is expensive for one song, but i'll tell you, we live in a society where everyone needs income, even the developers. But the game won't force you to buy, it's all up to you on how you want to play the game. (also btw, you can finish a meal but you can never finish the feeling of playing songs you bought, to each their own i guess) good luck and have fun, you'll get there.

1 dollar for 1 song is an OK price so idk why you think they are expensive. You made the mistake of comparing game purchases (which are meant for entertainment) to necessity payments (food). It's like barely 1/5 of a meal in the US, and half a meal in third-world countries so idk maybe just save up a bit if you want to buy a song? I'm pretty sure it goes straight to pack selection, and somehow those guys tapped the memory archive or other paid packs, and don't know how to back to pack selection. My friend's like that too, he got stuck on memory archive thinking that everything is pay to play. I hope they change the UI to the pack selection so it's not confusing for new players
