That Shidou kick is a red card or at least a yellow. Almost the exact same situation occured with Thomas Müller in the Champions league. He jumped for the ball and kicked the guy heading the ball square in the face and got a straight red card. As he should this is not the UFC. Edit: The fact that Rin threw himself at the ball makes absolutely no difference as Shidou still headkicked him which is in any case a red card.

With Rin and Shidou, I think it's obvious that Shidou did not notice him(more so in the manga) and Rin actually moved his head to his Shidou's foot to stop him. Shidou was about to hit the ball and then Rin basically headbutted his foot.

The kick is head-height, therefore dangerous. The player that needs to watch his surrounding to not kick others, is the kicker, which is why you see some players not throwing dangerous bycicle kicks when it's crowded and could hit others. If it was low height, then it wouldn't have been a problem.

Nio commented on how dangerous Nagi's first touch is and Sae N Aiku did everything under the sun to make sure that isagi could not get a direct shot off.
