I love the game! Please don't stop uploading before finishing the story, I'm hooked on all the kookiness of the characters, the quests, the roleplaying bits 😂 I love how you cover the regular trending games, but also smaller gems like Sunless Sea as well as your "own niche" aka all kind of ghost hunting games. Keep close to the shores to decrease the rate of terror, the yellow warm color around the boat light shows that you’re at the lowest terror increase

It's fun to see someone playing sunless sea, the story is very deep and even now I haven't find all of it Here's some little tip in combat 1. Kills, any kills reduce your terror, which can be very helpful 2. Most boats can be cheesed by just circling on their tail

Rare to see YT content of this game, as much of its time is spent reading - this is a real treat to watch/listen, Insym! The slow pace combined with the unsettling atmosphere makes for a very cozy time ^-^ If you're enjoying, the DLC, Zumbariner, adds a lot of depth :3 to the game too, in case you wish to turn your vessel into a submarine and sink 'neath the Neath... it can be added mid-run without breaking anything, as well! I really hope you keep going with this series. I keep checking the likes and the views and I hope it’s enough to be considered as a mainstay until it’s done! It’s a favourite of mine because it’s such a strange game with strange stories. Sunless skies too please! My partner was talking about this game and Sunless skies, it’s part of the online web browser based Fallen London story line, which is why it’s a bit different. If you play that game with dedication, you find out different things from these set of games in that online game (and vice versa) and it makes a bit more sense. Not that it isn’t still mysterious. It still is but playing Fallen London along with these games makes the stories make more sense. 😅

Really enjoying your playthrough, it is amazing how after so many runs I still find new things looking at yours. This makes me want the game again so much! A few non spoilery advices: 1. The Zee bat uses a LOT of fuel. Nothing is free in the sunless sea. Recommend you use with care. 2. Highly recommend that you talk to all your officers (both the ones assigned and the ones in reserve). Eat with them, see what they need and where they want to go. They have amazing quests that are of the best stories in the game. And they will provide you with unique goodness if you help them. This is also a reason to recruit officers for roles you already have. 3. The Outcast officer is the representative from Port Cecil that you were looking for . 4. You might want to try and maneuver behind other boats when you fight them. 5. You can boost your engine to run away, it is very risky but sometimes needed. Use the icon next to the Journal icon under “All Clear” 6. Some of the places you visited have ongoing stories, don’t be afraid to return to known places and try more options. 7. It is hard but try to read carefully. For obscure hints are everywhere. For examples: you have already encountered twice the term “Is there a sea more sunless?” coincidence?

I just started another run last week. looking for an aspiration I have not done yet . so much in this game.

I was looking through some youtube vids to see if there was something I missed because I felt an itch to start playing again. I still don't get it then, so feel free to spoil it.

@@PMNS1995 Fair enough. "More sunless" is the sea beyond the Avid horizon, where you go (and end your life) with the merchant venturer. Your next in line will get a hefty bonus for you choosing to die this way.

The legacy items all remain when the captain dies, so those are something players should try to collect somewhat early since they only have to do it once and the bonus is there forever. Though some are tricky and require more than one run and maybe a guide.

The story in this game is just so beautifully done so far.... and I never realized I needed the sunless sea OST in my life until now so thanks for that! (Also you were asking, you got the Nacreous Outcast at Port Cecil around 1:18:00 when your chess gambling/addiction paid off lol)

Hello Insym, It is nice to see that you are playing Sunless Sea. The game is honestly an amazing read, and you seem to be really good at it, but I noticed 2 things that I'd share with you: 1. There's a button to overburn to go faster, you might have used it, but I usually listen to you more than I watch the video, so I might have not noticed. It does incur in a chance of exploding and doing some hull damage, though. 2 Monsters should be engaged like you have experienced before, but ships require a different approach: Try to get on their tail and stay there, they can't shoot back at you unless they have a back weapon... which they might! But if they do, they probably have 2 in front. This being said, thank you very much for the video mister, I hope you a good day in the unterzee

I can’t wait till you eventually try sunless skies! It shares all of the best stuff from Sea like the environment, terror, writing, but they improve the gameplay so much. There’s actual skill-based combat, you have to aim your shots, and your vessel is very mobile, you can move faster and “dodge”. It’s just the next step to Sea, the visuals are so vastly updated!

Its not worth it - not scary or atmospheric, and the controls and gameplay will feel more arcadey, would be a total mismatch with Insym's content theme.

reconnoiter. "re - con- noi - ter" ... "noi" is like "noise" it's a mildly archaic word meaning to scout out.... I think it still has some use in the military, but even then I think the last time I heard it used "casually" was in movie dialogue from 60s and 70s.
