A customer brought me a generator that won't start that has been sitting around for years. The gas inside got bad, so we had to take apart the carburetor and clean it. We also had to drain and clean the gas tank. I thoroughly go through all the processes needed for the fix as well as other small problems. I show you how to change the spark plug, tear apart the carburetor, clean the carburetor, and put it back together. I also show you how I clean old gas out of a gas tank and take the gas can off.

Great video. I have that same Generator. I need a carb kit for mine. Generac will not tell me what engine is on my generator they want me to buy a whole new carb from them. They will only tell me that is a honda knock off. Can you tell me the carb number on that engine. Or a number on the kit that fits that carb or even a carburetor number so I can order a new one.My engine runs fine. my needle wont seet to cut of my gas flow when engine is not running.

the no. cc for example if it said 196cc go to e-bay put in 196cc carb or carb kit

@@lmsmallenginerepair4471 Thank you for your quick reply. New Subscriber!! I went to EBAY and just bought a whole new carb for 20% of what generac wanted. Now that I have a carburetor I can Identify i will able to repair it if need be. Good luck and thank you.

What did you put the carb in to clean it? Ultrasonic?
